Here is a reverse answer. This actor surprised the hell out of me when I found out he was American:
I had watched Buffy for a few seasons with him and his English accent was so good it literally shocked me.

Yeah, Damian Lewis. First saw him in Life and then BoB. Couldn't believe he was when I saw him on Conan a while back.
