Finale? There's still 6 more episodes.
I saw something advertising this as the first half of a 2 part finale. Or this just a special 2 part episode because CATWS opens this weekend?

It might be the finale of the "uprising" event.

I was hoping Acker was Jen Walters. She has the right height, build, and mannerisms.
That would've been cool. I hope they don't wait too long before we get She-Hulk. She could carry her own series. Ally McBeal + Buffy = More Gooder
As far as last night goes, I enjoyed it. The show keeps getting better as it builds up steam and I'm even warming up to Ward a little.
I was going to wait until after this weekend to see CA2 but I guess I have to go this weekend now.

Now that they've gotten that "new show smell" out of the way, the show is really starting to find its legs.
Colson made me
when he went down the path of "that wasn't the Clairvoyant". It made me think back on how deeply and long-term this would had to have been planned.
I believe it will turn out that May has been reporting to Fury and the Clairvoyant set all this up, in part, because he can't "see" Fury either and is wanting to draw him out.
I believe Agent Hand is setting up a coup attempt (with lots of unknown assistance and prodding by the Clairvoyant) to wrest control of SHIELD from Fury. She's the mole and she doesn't even know it.

I was wondering about the time lines for that.
Are last night's episode and next Tuesday's happening at the same time as CA2? Or does last night happen first, then CA2, and then the Shield episode on Tuesday?
I know its not the biggest deal but I like to watch stuff in the correct order for continuity purposes.

It seems like the movies take place during the show. Like the Thor movie.
What gets me is, what are the other avengers doing when the world is threatened in every stand alone movie?

It seems that they're all dealing with their own shite. I'm not certain, but I thought the individual movies were relatively concurrent, so Thor is dealing with the dark elves while Stark is hanging out powerless in Tennessee and Cap is having an existential crisis.
ETA: And Hawkeye is....well no one gives a shite where he is, because his MCU character kind of sucks. And this is coming from this boards biggest promoter of the Hawkeye comic book.

Either not working for SHIELD or, in Caps case, working with their own squads and therefore having no knowledge of or part in Coulson's teams investigations.

I have recently read that next weeks Shield takes place directly after CA2 and while you don't HAVE to watch CA2 first, it is highly recommended.

thanks
I'm going to see CA2, I just don't want to see it first if it technically happens later in the continuity.
Like I said, its not a big deal, but I hate jumping ahead in a series (movie or TV) and seeing reveals that will change how I feel about characters that wouldn't have happened if I watched in the proper order.
I already have to deal w/my GF constantly watching ahead or reading about characters in shows like Supernatural (we just finished season 5) as it is.

Sweet. Any indication tonight on what direction they're going in a post-SHIELD world?

Shield is not totally destroyed, just disorganized according to this episode. There wasn't much of an indication of where the next episode goes without revealing spoilers.

I'm thinking you'll be fine if you're not worried about having major plot points of the film spoiled for you.

People will lose their shite if they shave her head.
