Pretty sure they were chasing down Centipede for almost all of the first half of the season.

I disagree. Arrow's first half of season 1 lacked direction. Crossing off the name of people that didn't really matter. I almost lost interest in arrow until mid season 1.

I agree. "Slow" for Arrow is still pretty good. First half of Shield was a bit of a chore to get through while the second half was outstanding. Arrow season 1 went from good to holy shite.

They played with a couple of different storylines. You had the whole whether or not Skye was a traitor thing going for awhile. Then they were tracking down Centipede. Then you had the whole Coulson/Tahiti storyline going on. It just seem convoluted for awhile. But once they hit the whole Hydra/SHIELD implosion storyline, and dropped the other stuff, it really picked up.

Crossing off names tied into the whole season 1 story arc. Everyone in his dad's book was tied to the undertaking. Plus it was the vechicle that took his character arc from being a vigilante killer, to a masked hero.

AoS was kind of going all over the map before the whole Hydra/SHIELD implosion plotline.

This is true. Wonder what would happen if they went with the Inhuman theory since their first several appearances were in the FF?

The way I saw it, a new problem that added nothing to the ending. I think we can both agree that arrow and aos are really good!

No doubt.

And they both have totally different feels to them. Arrow has a darker more realistic (despite the whole mirakuru stuff) tone to it, while AoS is lighter and sways more on the scifi side of things. But both have turned out to be pretty good in their own ways.

The rights thing has to have already been resolved if Feige has publicly talked about an Inhumans movie.

They have. Inhumans are Marvels as far as films go.

I'm looking at the wiki page for the list of Inhumans. Looks like Donnie Gill (Blizard) from the episode at SHIELD academy was found to have Inhuman ancestry.

It's 2013 comic book development. I wonder if that is a coincidence?

Noticed that as well. Maybe he's Skye's brother?

There was just recently a Marvel comic event series called Infinity that ended with this

quote:

Thanos detonates a Terrigen Bomb which decimates Attilan and subjects everyone on Earth bearing latent Inhuman genes to go through the process of Terrigenesis, resulting in the emergence of thousands of Inhumans.

So there's a lot of new Inhumans right now

otherwise known in conspiracy land as Marvel's great plan to create/elevate hundreds of new characters in order to slowly lesson the value of properties owned by Fox and Sony.

Hmm... needs a better name...

I'm on record as saying that this show was terrible...but it got soooo much better around the time of Winter Soldier and the whole SHIELD meltdown.

I kind of actually want a Grant Ward redemption. But I guess we will see.

I'll continue to watch.

I'm sure they'll visit him at some point next year. Maybe even force him to work with them on a case.

Or hell, maybe he will somehow get turned into a Deathlok as well.

I'd actually feel bad for the dude if he was simply written out as having gone to jail. At least let him get shot to death in an attempt to save Skye or something if you are getting rid of the character.

I don't know if they're trying to de-value those properties, but they definitely are making an effort to highlight the characters from the film properties they do own.

A new GotG series shortly after the announcement of the film. Thanos returning to prominence after the Avengers reveal. Recent Age Of Ultron series. And the Inhumans series that came out recently or is coming out soon with Matt Fraction writing.

ETA: Apparently Fraction isn't writing that one, but he was at one time supposed to be.

Just finished. The last 8-9 episodes of AoS were pretty fun television. Glad they turned it around.

They have a lot of strands to cover next season, which is nice, I felt the Fury appearance was fantastic. I'm glad they don't need him anymore. While the Inhuman stuff is interesting, I'm wondering if the rebuilding of SHIELD will in turn affect the movies. I mean, in theory it should, but we shall see.

Same. Shield was a common thread between the movies, helping the heroes along and now it may not even have regional freedom in the US
