Well now we know where he learned his Russian and got his mob connections.
I am kind of not following the Sarah Lance story line though. She was working for the people on the boat to torture Ollie? And then he said he thought he really saw her die, again.

We just saw where he learned she survived the wreck. Future flashbacks will no doubt show where he thought he saw her die.

I figured it as a "he saw her die" as a metaphor. Like, the Sara he knew died, but a new Sara was still alive. Which is why he felt so bad when Diggle and Smoakshow was giving him shite about knowing.

This show is tits good and is nerdgasm material for any comic book fan. It really is opening up the DC Universe in ways that it has never been opened before in this medium.
I really can't wait to see Sara reveal herself to her family. From the looks of the promo for next week's episode, she is going to confront her father without a mask.

Show is really heating up. One of my favorite shows on tv right now.
Can't wait to see the reaction from Sara's family either.

Yeah. I think I read that the guy in the next cell is the guy he name-dropped in the first season to prove he is a captain.

Why are those guys on the boat looking for the graves again? I know they found the graves the episode before last but do we know what is significant about them yet?

I think in that flashback she was either part of the League of Assassins at that point, or part of Pro. Ivo's (going by the name on the ship) group (whichever is running the search for the bodies, if the two aren't alligned).
I'm wondering if he will see her die at somepoint in the flashbacks, and then she gets revived in the Lazarus Pits.

It looked like the dead guys were in some kind of mine. Perhaps they ran into some naturally occurring mineral or other substance which can cause mutations which kill some people but give others powers. Perhaps this is the same substance they injected in the "Mayor" guy which killed him.
This is all purely speculation based on watching the show. I have never read any comics related to this (unless it somehow relates to The Walking Dead

We don't know yet. I'm speculating that it has something to do with the Lararus Pits, but that is just a guess.

The Lazarus Pits is a mystical energy source found in the Batman comic books that allows for resurrection or regeneration.
It's how Ra's Al Ghul maintains his immortality.

It's what Ra's al Ghul uses to keep from dying as well as healing grievous wounds. If the name "Ra's al Ghul" seems familiar, there's a reason for that...
Also, the title used at the end of the episode gave me a slight nerdgasm. Brother Blood was a Teen Titans nemesis so it looks like they are plundering all sorts of DC lore for this show

Yep, they are going all out on the DC lore, and throwing stuff in there under the radar that if you aren't paying attention you'll miss like the name of the ship, and the name on the serial killer's van. This show has really surprised me with how well they've been able to pull off a comics based live-action tv show, and not made it lame or totally messed it up.

Much better show then anything on ABC, CBS, Fox, etc. imo

Calling it now: Summer Glau's character is RAVEN.

Her character is Isabel Rochev.
Spoilers :
According to wiki, that name is related to The Queen.
