The big team-up films are, by necessity, going to be a bit cluttered. Civil War can work if it focuses on Cap. Have a ton of characters, but focus on Stark v. Rogers worldviews.

Count me in on the worried that "Civil War will be mini-Avengers" crew. I've liked almost all of the casting, (Daniel Bruhl recently confirmed as Zemo is insanely awesome), but the amount of characters has me not so excited.

was mostly responding to his rant that started with blaming George Lucas and kids for ruining movies.

Well, I know they won't keep the exact plot of Civil War, but I think we can expect the dynamic of two teams, with the government stooge Avengers hunting down the now-outlaw true Avengers. So you need a bunch of characters for that bit, but you need to keep the focus on Rogers and Stark.

At the end of the day, Civil War is a debate over the nature of superheroes, which can be really interesting now that we have so many superhero movies. I do like how it requires a realignment of "good" and "evil" and some heroes now find themselves on the same side as some villains.

Good point. Still makes me uneasy. But I will say they did a great job with more characters and still keeping it Cap-focused in WS.

And this is what I'm excited for. Like we mentioned earlier, the small films are really really good often because they can focus on these core issues. Something that the team up cannot.

Since Chris Evans has already released his Infinity War shooting schedule, it's safe to say that it will not be the same at all.

either I've become a cynical a-hole, or everything sucks

the only medium that doesn't disappoint me today is television

maybe others felt the same way about a pup named Scooby doo or muppet babies

What are you going to do if Star Wars sucks? Will you give up on movies altogether?

Damn, I'm just hitting these quotes today

This time I'm bracing for impact so I'll make it. but that's the point, rarely am I ever purely excited followed by a real payoff. That's why I love the last planet of the apes movie so much

poor fox.

Going to see the movie tonight, so we'll see. I have lowered my expectations based on this thread, but I am expecting a rift between Stark and Cap based on Ultron and that being the conclusion of this movie with Banner and Stark breaking off from the avengers.

I would pay a lot of money to see chris evans and his freakish muscles beating the life out of Robert downey jr...even if it is fiction.

Iron Man is turning into a little bitch. He use to be my favorite character in the MCU, too.
