Is Avengers Doomsday just going to be Iron Man cosplaying as Dr Doom and hopping into and out of different multiverses, introducing 1,000 characters for a few hours, with everyone making hero poses and speeches in front of a green screen?
With so much going on how will any story get through? Does Disney even care at this point if there is a coherent and intriguing plot?

I have read that DD is going to be really long. It has to be to cram so many characters and storyline set ups. I’m hopeful that this will start back on the right track into Secret Wars > XMen, FF, etc.

Ok am I the only one who thinks this movie will make no f’n sense for casual fans? As a non-comic fan, I genuinely loved the Avengers. I’d watch some of the more popular side movies from time to time, but it seemed that the major things only really happened in the Avengers movies so you could follow along if you didn’t see all the side quests. The other movies also didn’t suck so was easier to watch more of them.
I got a feel this will be hard as balls to reset and stitch all of this together. Hope I’m wrong!

Was this not the case for the Infinity War/Endgame or really any MCU movie after the first Avengers movie where they decided that there was a shite ton of required watching to give context?
With that said, the dumbest thing Feige did was introduce the multiverse in Endgame. That shite can work in comics when there are multiple new releases every week, but in film it's hard to keep it all together. My biggest fear was that opening that pandora's box would create a convoluted mess, and here we are.
On top of that, it's hard to care about the characters considering there are multiple versions of everyone now.

Pay attention to what is going on here.
They are literally providing the setup for the movie with these "teasers". Its an interesting strategy but so far people are eating it up.

To be fair, it isn’t the Fox X-men. It’s some multiversal spin off of them. And I’m assuming they’ll come in some portal or something because narratively it makes no sense for them to be in the same universe and not approach the avengers after the first one.
And like you said, it’s odd that they would bring them up only to drop them but basically that’s what’s going to have to happen I think. There’s no future there with the X-men. At best they aren’t all killed but they have to go home to their own universe.

Deadpool is rumored to make an appearance as well.
Probably with his new sidekick Captain Kitchen Sink.
What’s odd is that Dr. Strange doesn’t seem to have a prominent role.
