No one has mention the Potter films, aside from the kids, it has the most acclaimed British actors in the cast or cast, aside from Colin Firth and Hugh Grant.

My two favorites are Traffic, and JFK (minus Costner's performance).

Traffic

Benicio Del Toro, Michael Douglas, Luis Guzman, Don Cheadle, Miguel Ferrer, Topher Grace, Erika Christensen, Catherine Zeta Jones, Albert Finney, James Brolin, Steven Bauer, Amy Irving, Dennis Quaid, Clifton Collins, JR, Viola Davis, John Slattery, Benjamin Bratt, Salma Hayek

JFK

Kevin Costner, Jay O Sanders, Ed Asner, Jack Lemmon, Vincent D' Onofrio, Gary Oldman, Sissy Spacek, Wayne Knight, Michael Rooker, Laurie Metcalf, Joe Pesci, Walter Matthau, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Tommy Lee Jones, John Candy, Kevin Bacon, Donald Sutherland, Lolita Davidovich, John Larroquette, Ron Rifkin, Frank Whaley, Martin Sheen (narrator)

I immediately thought of Pulp Fiction and Boogie Nights.

But Glengary Glen Ross as a small ensemble is too hard to beat even though it's a sausage fest.

Boogie Nights big hitters: Mark Wahlberg, Burt Reynolds, Julianne Moore, John C. Reilly, Don Cheadle, Luis Guzman, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Heather Graham, William H. Macy, Alfred Molina, Philip Baker Hall.

Pulp Fiction - John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Uma Thurman, Tim Roth, Amanda Plummer, Eric Stoltz, Bruce Willis, Ving Rhames, Phil Lamarr, Rosanna Arquette, Christopher Walken

Any Irwin Allen disaster flick, with The Towering Inferno at the top of the list.

No love for Sleepers yet?

Brad Pitt
Dustin Hoffman
Robert DeNiro
Kevin Bacon
Billy Crudup
Minnie Driver
Jason Patric

You get a lot of bang for your buck in The Road as far as great casts go, seeing as how there's only about six speaking parts.

Charlize Theron
Viggo Mortensen
Robert DuVall
Guy Pearce
Michael Kenneth Williams (Omar from The Wire)

A Bridge Too Far is the movie with a cast of heavy hitters that can't be matched:

Sean Connery
Michael Caine
Gene Hackman
Robert Redford
Anthony Hopkins
Laurence Olivier
Elliot Gould
Maximillian Schell
James Caan

Nothing else even sniffs this list.

Someone beat us both on page 2 but obviously A Bridge Too Far is a thread killer.

There is no movie cast close to it.
