Which do you think is the superior series? I'm with Boardwalk all day long.

Sopranos. Not even close.

Boardwalk is good, and I love stuff set in that era, but come on.

I like Boardwalk, but Sopranos is GOAT.

I think I was in Season 3 of BE when I dropped out. I just restarted last week.

So, not having finished it, tough to put BE above Sopranos - particularly on the writing.

However, I am a history nut. Add to that the acting (which separates the modern, top tier drama from just about anything we've seen - ever) is just flat out better in BE, again IMHO and excluding Gandolfini as Tony.

Sopranos is arguably the best thing HBO has ever done. That's saying something.

Boardwalk is good but failed to reach great. The last season was a mess and I found it hard to get through.

You want The Sopranos in your life.

The first season may be a little dated in that some of the episodes almost feel procedural. Once they figure out what they got it becomes the GOAT.

The GOAT series ever vs a good, but forgettable show? Hmmm

I like BE, but it falls off a cliff after season two.

I'm actually on my third or fourth rewatch.

Season 1 seems a little cliche and cheesy now. And Season 4 is far, far better than I originally thought.

Season 3, to me, is where The Sopranos transitioned from a good mob show to television greatness.

Sopranos. Boardwalk kind of wanders sometimes and has a lot of filler. The characters aren't as good either.

I'd prefer The Wire over both though.

I would have agreed with your statement had it been made prior to GoT.
