One of the greats and his films had their own unique "feel" to them. So many of them totally weird me out.

Ditto. Not not a fan of his (other than Twin Peaks and Dune) style but I am completely aware of and respect the man’s game.

Legend.

ETA: I don’t troll much but I absolutely love bringing up Alien 3 as a failure and awaiting the defenders . I’m fully aware of the production hell and issues that were outside of his control.

Damn, very unique filmmaker even if he wasn’t my personal jam. He will be missed. May he RIP.

That’s David FINCHER, not Lynch.

I watch S1 of Twin Peaks all the time. So unique & hilarious & self-aware. Loved all.his movies too. It was like watching a dream.

S1 was so good. Angelo Badalamenti's music on the show was also phenomenal.

Sucks. I was hoping we'd get one more movie out of him but it's amazing he lived this long considering that he started smoking when he was 8.

The weirdest thing about his career may be that he made a totally not weird movie about a guy driving a riding lawn mower 250 miles to see his brother.

In my opinion, out of Hollywood directors it is:

Kubrick

Lynch

Everyone else.

Blue Velvet and Eraserhead were two movies that were just on another level, Talk about a creative mind. He was certainly one of a kind. RIP

RIP, David. There will never be another like him.

He was offered the job of directing Return of the Jedi from George Lucas and the story is absolute gold.

David Lynch on George Lucas
