How did this show get cancelled? It’s the perfect buddy comedy. Crass but endearing and sweet. You can tell the creators just love their city and wanted to show it off.. it truly is one of a kind. I can’t think of any show that is even remotely similar . If you’ve never seen it you gotta check it out. Especially if you enjoy a solid soundtrack chalked full of Detroit soul.

Comedy Central cancelled most of their live action shows after two seasons. Very few of them made it past that.
Most of the time it had nothing to do with how funny the show was.
We absolutely love I Think You Should Leave, so we've been watching Detroiters. It's hysterical. I never watched it when it originally aired but it's awesome.

Sam Richardson is fantastic. Check out The After Party if you haven't.

Thanks for the rec I’ll check it out.. I went to Detroit and walked by all the places in the show including the temple bar Joe Lewis’ fist.. there’s something about that city man.. people are super cool..
I heard someone refer to a dick as a hog and laughed pretty hard.. I guess they do call em hogs up there

17 years ago my neighbors moved in from Detroit (I live in NWFL). Watching that show was like watching all the stories they were telling me played out on my television. A bit surreal. And hysterical...great show.

Comedy Central made a concerted effort to move away from original scripted programming. This was one of many victims.

This is the most hilarious show I’ve seen in a long time. Not sure when it dropped on Netflix but I just picked it up hoping it was a new series. Too bad it was cancelled in 2018. Maybe it will finally get the recognition it deserves.

CC just had a rotating spot where they would have quality sitcoms and never market them or give them any support and then cancel them. They also make them impossible to find for streaming or otherwise once they go out of rotation so it doesn’t even have much of a chance catching a second streaming life usually
Detroiters is so good. Some of the funniest odd moments you’ll find
Corporate is another in that vein

Fantastic show. The dad's birthday and the third floor bathroom were gold.
