Harrison will kill Dexter coming full circle.

The show is called “New Blood.” Going to try to pass the torch of the Code to Harry.

Did anybody else catch that smile at the end? No matter how much Deb tries to make him feel guilty, this is what he wanted the whole time.

Why did podcast have Arthur as trinity killer picture? Original Dexter framed the truck driver with Authur's dna.

That whole thing didn’t sit well with me either. It’s been ages since I’ve watched season 4, did the cops even know about the fourth kill of his cycle?

They didn't know about the 4th.

Alright…so even if that’s adding some discontinuity because of poor writing, it adds more poor writing problems because the podcaster had a picture of Rita and mentioned her family. Chances are she has a picture of Dexter, and was just in a room with him.

Yeah, this was one of my biggest issues with it. She's some major podcaster with almost a million followers and in all the research her followers do for her, they never stumbled across a picture of a guy named Dexter Morgan during the Trinity Killer research who looks suspiciously like this Jim Lindsay fellow!?

CGI deer was BAD
Like 1980's bad. It was so obvious what was happening and who was going to kill it.
It still has lots of potential regardless of some of the silly stuff so far. Its clear they want you to think the oil baron is the one killing the women.

Well it certainly looks like it when near the end of Episode 4 he is escorting the young lady to a remote cabin that has the same cellar door set-up as the one the gal emerged from and got shot down from behind by a high-powered rifle.

I must have been on my phone and missed that scene. Yeah that makes it a bit more obvious.

You are mixing up Kurt Caldwell with Edward Olsen the oil man.

My prediction of how the season will end.
Matt’s dad will possibly be the killer. Or they will give us a plot twist that some type of business partner in the oil field. Matt’s dad sets up these “run aways” for a client. Didn’t they have a scene with a trucker picking up a female in the first episode?
Dexter will be going back and forth about taking out Harrison since he believes he was “born in blood” or what ever they said. Dexter soon finds out that Harrison either killed the step mom or his sister in Brazil. Something he couldn’t control and the dark passenger taken over. It is kind of weird that as much research dexter does, he didn’t do any research on Harrison, sister and stepMom, only took Harrison’s word on what happen.
Dexter will have a change of heart and will let Harrison kill the antagonist at the end. Dexter will have a monologue about if he is going to go down this road he will do it right and will teach Harrison the code of Harry.
The ending of the season the podcast chick finally finds a picture of dexter that is linked to the trinity killer. She is shocked and shows the police chief. They go back to his cabin and it is empty. The season ends with dexter and Harrison driving away to start their life again living by the code of Harry.

Not to completely hijack this thread, but I'm trying to skim through and not read too many spoilers.
Now that there are a few episodes out, what is everybody's opinion on this show?
Like many, I loved the early seasons before eventually giving up at some point. Don't want to get invested in this series again if it's not worth it.
Thoughts so far?

Its good, not great.
I don't think the cold/northern/small town setting "works" for this.
Theres some lazy writing, as mentioned a few posts up, but contains spoilers.

it starts off real slow, but it picks up

Considering Dexter is now living in "Small Town, U.S.A." just how many serial killers, rapists, crazed drug dealers, etc. that he offed in the original series can they have in that environment.
This new series just doesn't have the vibe the first one had and I find myself not really caring if I see the episode when it first airs, usually catching it when I don't see anything else I want to watch.
