Basically this. It's one of those movies where I think it's absolutely amazing, but I can't recommend it to any friends because they'll think it's a piece of shite.

good way of putting it

People go into it with the wrong idea.

I just saw it on Netflix and was all frick it ill watch while have no clue as to anything. As soon as it ended..I watched it again. No movie had ever done that for me. It was hypnotic in its sound track and acting. It was soothing yet dirty all in one. Once it was over I snapped out of it and was just amazed at what I had just watched.

This guy bashing the soundtrack made me go start a Pandora station based off of it. Such a great soundtrack. Found some other similar good music so far from Pandora.

Speaking of which, I loved that he was about to straight frick up the redhead. Dude obviously had an off/on switch, but you kept wondering where his moral center was. You just knew in that scene if she didn't start coming clean he was going to rape her face with that driving glove

Yea when he put her on the bed and had his hand over her mouth with his finger pointed at her and went "every word you say out of your mouth is gonna be the truth or I'm gonna hurt you" I really thought he was gonna lose it on her.

This for me too.

Although, I talk about the movie so much the Mrs. finally made me watch it. I wasn't even remotely excited as I was dreading her going on and on about how stupid it was and dumb, blah, blah, blah. After it ended she looked at me, pretty sure she was covered in sweat and was like "that was fricking awesome".

I knew I had the right one at that moment .

its a love or hate movie

When my parents came to visit we watched it. My dad passed the frick out and said this shite is boring, my mom loved it.

For everyone except for me. I liked it but don't think it's great. I don't get why people hate it at all but don't get the jizzfest for it either.

The people that hate it describe it like it's The Tree of Life and the fanboys talk so flowery about it I think they believe whoever directed it will be some kind of American Francois Truffaut.

I enjoyed it and would watch it again if I got the chance. People going on an on about it is probably the only reason anyone hates it.

I agree. I think it has great parts, and so I can see why people are in love with it.

I liked Drive. And I'm pretty damn picky about movies. For instance, I don't like most superhero movies, think that Transformers is retarded and boring, and think that Episodes 1, 2, and 3 ruined Star Wars. In other words, I'm not the kind of guy that just agrees and says everything is good.

But Drive was pretty damn good as far as I'm concerned.

Exactly. That's where I was going with that.

I'm definitely not a sheep when it comes to movies, and even I of all people thought Drive was good - even though my examples were typical.
