Drops of God Season 2 Trailer (AppleTV)

Drops of God is easily Apple’s most underrated and under watched show.
For those that didn’t watch, the premise of season 1 involves a young woman competing against her recently deceased father’s protege in a series of wine/culinary challenges to inherit his multi-million dollar wine collection.
I was getting concerned that we were less than two weeks from the season 2 premiere without a trailer.

Looking forward to it. I really appreciated Season 1. So very different from most other shows.

Love this show. I'm a wine nerd so there were some pretty great geek out moments.

It’s different in a great way

We liked it.
It was interesting in a lot of ways.
Also, it's crazy to read up on and learn that there are many millionaires in the world who own more wine than they could ever drink in their lifetime.

Some people are collectors of wine, just like collecting anything else.
There are chinese billionaires that show up at auctions (the chinese are fricking wild about the famous wines) and just put the paddle up in the air and don't take it down.
Some of these wines like the classic Romanee Conti years, Barca Vehla 64, classic Pomerol years etc...
Go for WILD amounts

Going to start this one next week. It's never even popped up on my Apple+ as a suggestion. I'm a pretty big wine fan so it's probably right up my alley.

I don’t know a damn thing about wine, or even like it, but I freaking loved this show!
Granted I do love all things Japanese culture and really any world where there are folks who are obsessive over details. The scene where the girl I learning how to serve the fancy bottle of wine to the expert wine folks at the restaurant was incredible to me.
I also loved the way they play with color and other senses. So pumped to have it back.

5 episodes in and really enjoying this. Episode one was a little slow but by episode two I was all in. The flashbacks are so well done.
****** S1 spoilers***********
Leger being Issei's dad was pretty predictable. From the very first scene in the flashback when she eyed him in the cellar I immediately thought that he was going to be the dad. Issei finding out from the old university translator was pretty tough.
I know the culture is different but I'm having a hard time buying into the family disowning Issei simply because he is in a competition to possibly win 20+ million dollars. Like how is that dishonoring the family. The grandpa is on the national news making a statement about a grandson getting an inheritance, really? Nobody cares what a rich persons grandson does, at all. It's not like the kid is out thee smoking crack. The family didn't care when he was doing it as a profession but the minute he has to chance to make a ton of money they all of a sudden are disowning him because of it. I'm struggling with that story line.
They are about to start the second game. It looks pretty good. This feels like a one season show, curious to see how this is stretched out past one season. Liking it a lot though.
