He nailed Antonio Salieri.
One of my favorite movie scenes ever is when Salieri composes that little piece of music for Mozart's arrival at court and in one fell swoop, Mozart destroys Salieri's confidence as a major player.
Murry perfectly acted the gamut from cocky and condescending to disillusioned hack. Then ANGER!
need to watch that. still havent seen it

"Thank you, Signore."
I always think of this when people thank god for good things and blame him for the bad, and I hope they're not really serious about it.

Watch it now. Hulse is awesome and so is abraham. Classic.

Ok, you've got three choices of women here.
One you have to F, the second you have to Murray, and the third you have to Abraham.

He was great in The Ritz...

Just feel like he deserves the thread. I'm watching Grand Budapest Hotel. I cannot believe that he went from Amadeus(one of my favorites) to Blood Monkey (one of the worst movies ever, which I enjoy solely for the "it's raining" scene). That's all.
I'm not even sure what you're trying to say. The guy has had, and continues to have, a pretty solid career. Every successful, prolific actor has a few clunkers along the way.

I dig the guy, probably be great to hoist a pint with.
Seemed like he, Ben Gazzara & Stanley Tucci were duking it out for the parts Ben Kingsley could turn down after Ghandi. At least in my weird imaginary casting agency.

How weird (or awesome) is it that Jeffery Jones, the
Principal in Ferris Bueller, played the Emperor in Amadeus?
Amadeus is a top 5 all time movie in my opinion.

How could anyone possibly know that?

Seems like a lot of the actors in Amadeus haven't done much...Tom Hulce only did the Disney Hunchback of Notre Dame and Animal House.

I wonder what happened to Hulce.
Usually actors can take a big win like Amadeus and at minimum parlay that into a few decent movies.
His career has for the most part been nonexistent.
Debra Winger Syndrome is about all I can think of to explain his lack of work.

Debra Winger Syndrome
Debra Winger Syndrome was the result of being an insufferable actress with whom no one wanted to work.

i think he had that problem AND he was on drugs or was a drunk iirc

He was also in Parenthood and Frankenstein, as well as a lot of stage stuff.
In fact, a lot of the Animal House actors were broadway regulars. I saw Boone and Nedermeyer in a Neil Simon play back in the 80s.
