Definitively or not, it is pretty accepted that early reviews are paid for. . .
Once the embargo breaks, though, the picture gets clearer.
Looks like this one maybe pretty decent.
Expect that 88 to settle in the lower 80's like Superman.

Only people who actually think this are just trying to force a narrative. They'll conveniently leave out the MCU and Disney movies critics hated like Ant Man 3, Thor 3, Eternals, and Secret Invasion
When it comes to those social media reactions I think it has more to do with those people wanting to keep getting screenings as well as super fans

All of those got mixed early reviews.
They didn't get shite on until after their respective embargoes
Early reviews are from screenings which are, at best, heavily curated.
That said, I have to assume some movies can be so dogshit that reviewers aren't willing to sell their credibility
This movie appears decent. But if you are contending major studios don't pay for reviews or bribe reviewers. . .that would be making a stand for sure.

Oh I'm aware to not trust those social media reviews they're flimsy at best. I don't think they're getting paid just that they're from people who want to keep getting t screening tickets so they'll say whatever they think will keep those tix coming

One thing I have noted is everyone seems to have their favorite of the group. Some have said it's Reed, some Sue, some Johnny, and a few have said Ben. Looks like all four might have killed it which is great for

Jeremy Jahns basically said this. The "wokeness" fears/claims were: a) Sue is the leader and Reed is an after though; and, b) Johnny isn't the hound he is in the comics are not true.

It was pretty good. Still think the after credits scene should have been RDJ instead of how we got it. Still the movie was good. Silver Surfer was done well. The story worked. It didn't end like i expected.
Would recomend it isn't the best mcu. But it's in the upper half.

The only thing woke may be the female silver surfer. Not woke really at all.
I don't know why they changed the surfer. But also this isn't in our universe or the normal mcu universe. This is all alternate universe people. So maybe that explains it.

Well, there is that, but there also is a female SS in the comics, so its not like its a pure swap (plus, I'd imagine they'd want to distance themselves from the 2007 one)
