It was on an ok movie. But its not a movie that I would consider a must-see. I loved WW and Aquaman. I have never been much of a Superman fan so I dont pay much attention to him. Afflect just doesnt do it for me as Batman. I would really like for him to be recasted for the DCU.

Thought it was ok. Batman was much better in BvS.
Would’ve been epic if they really used the John Williams Superman score a lot more when Superman was battling Steppenwolf. Kind of like this version

Personal preference, I guess. I loved Batman ‘89 but a 175lb Michael Keaton or a 185lb Christian Bale just didn’t do it for me. Affleck (and the fight/action scenes in BvS) is the first Batman that has that hulking, menacing presence like the Kevin Conroy Batman:TAS in live action. At least for me. For whatever the other criticisms of the DCEU, the casting of the Big 3 (Cavill, Gadot, Affleck) were home runs.

I went in with 0 expectations, was pretty damn excited about this, thought the trailers were badass, was rooting for this to finally be a DC hit, etc etc.
It was just a huge pile of meh. Such a flat movie. How can DC suck this much dick? If they can’t make the justice league, the absolute forefront highlight of their comics, even a slight success, why the frick keep trying?
This DC cinematic failure will go down for me as one of the all time disappointments.

They HAD to do that because Cavill was filming Mission Impossible 182 and couldn't shave off his beard. So they CGI'd it out. I mean... c'mon... you are Hollywood. You can CGI better than that, right? Because that was BAD.
No, they had to do it because their production was a shitshow that required copious amounts of late script changes and reshoots while the actors had moved onto other projects.

Was that the real scene with the score changed? I haven't watched it yet, but that CGI at 0:44 was pitiful by today's standards.

It wasn't a production issue. It was a "we hired the wrong person" issue. It's like they hired a Country singer to write Rap songs and after the second album did as badly as the first one, they hired Ice T to come in and add some beats.
Zack Snyder was going to deliver a Zack Snyder movie. They just waited until the first cut to realize that they didn't want a third Zack Snyder movie.

Hiring the director is one of the foundation pieces of the production...

I'm 5 minutes into this movie and so far:
The first scene with Batfleck was terrible.
Wonder Woman is still gonna be the best thing about this movie.

I enjoyed the movie. It wasn't some memorable epic, but it was popcorn fun and not a waste of time.

Lol...you disagree with that?

Was if ever alluded to in this world building we see in the films that kryptonite is only part of what weakens him? Never read comics and the previous movies just said kryptonite alone, but I do know in MoS his strength comes from our class of star(Gives off more radiation than the krypton star) Yet, the kryptonian ships were capable of altering breathable atmospherics to negate his absorbed power(I'm assuming their breathable atmosphere contained particles of kryptonite). Also, a normal kryptonian not attuned to long term radiation exposure from our type of star would likely not have any adverse affects being around kryptonite, right? It would explain why earlier kryptonians never experienced this increase in power because they always used their own breathing mix/terraformed atmosphere to their desires.

Gal Gadot is the sexiest fricking woman in Hollywood.

That Bank scene was great.
That after credit ending makes me want to see the sequel so bad.

Yep. She has the most engaging fight scenes.
Probably because she's the only actor in the movie who actually knows how to fight IRL.

I like the guy playing Victor. He's a solid Cyborg.
And Drogo is good.
Honestly, Batfleck and Cavil are the worst.

I really liked the Lanterns fighting with Amazonians and Atlantians and Men.
And I liked how they had Superman freak about being alive.

Final assessment:
Cavill grew on me towards the end. He showed the range necessary to be the real Superman and not just the brooding sap he has been. Death was good for him.
Ezra Miller is pretty good, but Grant Gustin is the better Flash, IMO. But Miller is fine for the movies.
The final fight scene was awesome. I loved it. The action flowed nicely and never bogged down. There was genuine chemistry between the cast that can be built on. DC can make this group work.
That is, besides Affleck. He's phoning it in. He was much better in BvS. It's plain that he's over this role. Can they bring in someone to replace Bruce as Batman? I'm honestly not familiar enough, but it would be awesome to see Dick Grayson in some capacity shoe up to fight Deathstroke. Which character was Batman in Batman Beyond? That's a possible solution.
The pacing and editing of the first 3/4 of the film was terrible. You can tell they fricked this up in post, just like they did BvS. I can't believe they didn't learn their lesson there.
This franchise can still be saved on the backs of Gadot and the newly reformed Cavill. They just need to find their direction. People will continue to pay for DC heroes if they'll just get it right like they did with Wonder Woman.
In all, I enjoyed the movie. The villain sucked, but no worse than Ultron.
Also, Gal Gadot is just so gotdamn breathtaking it hurts.

We're accepting a TV version as better than a feature film version.
