Happy First Look for Highlander! This has been quite the journey for me, which I'll tell you all about when the time is right, but it's a special moment to be able to share this. I hope you enjoy.

Saw OG at theater 40 years ago when I was 5.

It’s been a long wait.

The fight choreography for this will be insane because of Cavill + Stahelski (John Wick director). My only concern is they won’t be able to live up to the original’s badass Queen soundtrack.

Who is doing the music for the film? I would think they would recycle some of Queen's soundtrack because, why not?

I'm a huge fan of the first movie and the series. Cavill involved gives me hope that the movie won't suck.

Funny how much more I respect his opinion than studio heads or critics.

He understands source material and fan perspective, things that studio heads and critics don't give a shite about.

I’m actually really looking forward to this.

The thing about the original is that it wasn’t so good that it didn’t necessarily need a remake - and the sequels were atrocious.

While the first film was cult cool because of the premise, I thought the TV series was a million times better than the rest of them.

Having an actual British action star, rather than a French dude with a horrible accent, is a plus.

I took a girl on our first date to see the original. I was a Junior and she was a Sophomore in HS. If I had to do it over again, I would have taken her to see something else. As it was, I actually focused on the movie too much and on her too little.

That wasn't the worst of it. There was another girl I really liked and later that year, I took her to a movie that was getting a lot of buzz. Apparently, Platoon is not a great 1st date movie, either. Her only comment when the movie was over..."they sure said f*** a lot in this movie".

Anyway...I love Highlander, and am looking forward to this one coming out. Should I take the wife (no pics) to see it?

I thought it was a masterpiece when it came out. The FX still hold up for the little they're needed.

But Cavill is a nerd's nerd, so I have confidence that this will be good.

Well, you're already married to her, so it might be harder to screw up the date.

Looks very cool. Loved the original. Have hope for this, largely for who's involved... minus Bautista. That's a major drop off from Clancy Brown's genius original Kurgen.
