You can not be serious.

The Rock is a better action movie, for starters.

I usually find that I like movies the most in the 75%-85% range. Anything less is hit or miss, anything higher is usually artsy, Oscar stuff that takes me more than one viewing to take everything in.

That was one of the worst movies I have ever seen.

The plot was way too implausible to overlook. Nicholas Cage is a terrible actor, John Travolta is an average to above average actor.

Terminator 2 is the best action flick of the 90's, and second place is probably The Matrix. Hell, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels was a better action flick than Face Off.

Face Off was the greatest Cage/Travolta film about face transplants in the late 90's. So I'll give it that.

Yes, it is.

The Matrix is also better.

I can probably name five or six action movies that are better if I gave a damn.

However, the fact that you've got me even to think about Face/Off is starting to piss me the frick off.

I'm going to listen to Sunny Day Real Estate now.

I agree. Usually the movies that win awards and people rave about a i watch and really dont find much enjoyment in it.

WALL-E

Iz a dirty lubrul movie!!~~!!1!
I actually thought it showed both sides. The evil corporations and the killing of Earth; but there were also lessons on the amazing human spirit and getting off our fat asses and doing something for ourselves.

I detest kid's movies with a political agenda, but I loved WALL-E.

You really need to take expectations into consideration when reading these reviews. Reviewers went into Face/Off thinking it would be the same summer action shite and came out pleasantly surprised w/ the action and acting. They're comparing FO to Michael Bay movies. Braveheart is being held up against the greatest movies of all time, therefore reviews are much more critical and in depth.

The above bolded movies are the only ones I consider "action" movies. You gotta have guns and explosions.

I just think Face Off ruled... it did the genre justice.

Er....how exactly are The Matrix and Saving Private Ryan not bolded. They both had guns and explosions.

Tombstone is definitely an action film. Just a western action.

I kinda get what he's saying. The Matrix is Sci-Fi. Saving Private Ryan is a War Movie. And Tombstone is a Western.

But I can see what you're saying too. That's the problem with movies that have overlapping genres. They're harder to classify.
