My take on GLOW is that it's pretty good, but it lacks a lot of conflict/tension that's necessary to sustain a show. I think that the shorter episodes work well format-wise in mitigating this.
The central tension between the two main characters is good on paper, but too one-sided and passive-aggressive for much of it. I don't think there was actually a scene where the two of them talked out their main disagreement. Instead we have one character refusing to talk to the other.
I actually enjoyed the conflict between Marc Maron's character and Alison Brie's character more, as it felt more natural and grew into a viable relationship as the show progressed. That was good character growth.
It's a pretty fast watch, and I found myself caring about their wrestling program succeeding. That worked. It's easy to get on board their bandwagon. Especially Alison Brie's flawed but sincere character.

Don't get the hype. Barely made it through episode 1. The show sucked, and the sex scene was meh.

I don't like it either, but the show is good despite it. So I overlook it.

Did not realized that there was an actual wrestling group called Glow or that they were popular. Wow, watching the documentary made me feel sad.

Just finished it and it's good but not great. Marc Maron was perfect casting and carries the show although Alison Brie helps a lot. When I was about halfway through people in these threads saying they saw no need for a season 2 made no sense. After seeing the end I get it now. It felt like a long movie, not a season of a TV show, and the story was concluded pretty well. I'm not saying there aren't more stories to tell, but I think a season 2 is likely to be pretty underwhelming like most movie sequels.

Season 1 was the creation of the concept.
Season 2 would be the concept in action and the crises that arise throughout.
Season 3 would be the fall from grace or the aftermath of the fall from grace.

IO thought the same thing. Best I can guess, time and the movie star lifestyle are hell on women. Look at Linda Cardelini.
Freaks and Geeks:
Avengers: Age of Ultron
I wonder if Allison and Linda smoke? They both look like they're getting that smoker's mouth thing.

Just finished the series. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.
Decently written, and the actors are all pretty good. Lots of laughs, and the wife even liked it; she asked if there were more seasons we could watch.

That's the character that she's playing. She's supposed to be the unassuming in physical appearance underdog. It's a contrast to her super-hot soap opera star girlfriend.

She just got older. There's no mystery.
She wasn't that young when she did Freaks and Geeks (24 or 25 I think).

Finished the show this week. Loved it! I think they can definitely go on to another season. I'd like to see how the first aired episode is received and where they take the story lines. Introduce some new wrestlers to the group, maybe write some out. Several of the girls are forgettable like the two that play old ladies.
Loved the casting. I also grew to care about their wrestling show. Also agree Debbie is too stiff. She needs to loosen up. Ruth is great and so awkward at times.

Have you not seen bloodlines? Linda Cardellini is still hot

I just finished it. It was just OK to me. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I were a woman. I felt like it was written by staff of Huffington Post.
And Mark Maron played the same smug count he is in everything.

Thanks for making me feel old, you arse. That show provided a pre-teen MSTiger with a lot of spank material.

I've never been a fan of wrestling, but I did get into their matches and came to understand why the fans go crazy for it. That makes it a pretty great show in my book.
