I don't understand how you can feel that way. It was the same kind of humor as the first one.

Here is my thing: The Hangover is 80% on Rottentomatoes and the Hangover 2 is 30% yet the hammer the critics are beating it with is that it is just The Hangover in a different environment.

That tells me it's as funny as the first one and the a-hole critics wanted the sequel to be A River Runs Through It.

Wah? It's the same exact show in a different city with a hot fiance for Stu. Insert monkey for baby, tattoo for tooth being pulled and you've got the same show.

It's not as funny as the first one. All of Allan's lines seemed forced and overplayed. The only part of this that was funnier than the first were the pictures at the end. I give it a C+ when the first one I would give an A

Just got out of it. It was equal to the first. Those saying otherwise went into it with too high of expectations.

A lot of the advertisements showed the connections to the first because that is what sells tickets. It was the same formula and some shock value to it. It's definitely worth going with some buddies to see.

And the first one didn't have that problem? There was literally no explanation for what he was doing there or why he was acting the way he was. Did he have aspergers or something? It seemed entirely forced, just for Galifinakis (whose standup I can enjoy) to be completely over the top.

It's definitely as funny. If you don't think it is then you're falling into the same trap as the critics by expecting something different.

That's because fanboys don't want to admit that it isn't that good.

And thats a bad thing to expect something different. Plenty of sequels could be made by just changing the setting slightly and having the exact same plot. Its just cheap.

This movie's plot was an exact retread of the first movie except it was in Thailand and if they didn't find the brother the wedding was off. It had pretty much the same jokes as well.

Hangover is to Hangover II as Home Alone is to Home Alone II.

Then I hope they don't make a Hangover III.
