That is a very uninspiring trailer. Oof. Nothing about this trailer makes me want to see it, nor is there anything that makes me want to not. I'm still going to watch it and hope the good stuff is in the movie.

Yeah! That's a movie I'd want to see. It looks kooky, fun and funny. This new teaser is none of those things; it's just relying on nostalgia bait instead.

That's fair. I'd assume they will release a full trailer with more of the plot explained. This was just a teaser aimed at introducing everyone.

Most people, myself included, loved Happy Gilmore as a kid. Now look at the grown ups bitching about this being "terrible."

I'll try it but you can already tell that this doesn't have the essence of what made the first movie fun.
Something about the high modern production quality doesn't work for this. It's just a different era. It also doesn't feel like Sandler is playing the same character.
