so what if he couldn't, its not like they're filming Les Misérables

well you got a bunch of former alcohol and drug abusers wanting to stay clean meanwhile Bam comes into production wasted. So I can’t blame them. Trailer looks awesome

I'm a little surprised people are lamenting Bam's absence from the movie so much. I love Jackass, and realize he was a major piece of the whole thing, but he was the try-hard tool of the ensemble.

It sucks he has hit rock-bottom, but his on-screen contribution likely would've been sad to watch had he been allowed to stay. It'll likely be funnier without him.

I understand why they did what they did. If you've watched any of Bam's ranting videos and realize how bad off he is (and he has a small child now), it's pretty clear he couldn't make the stipulations to be in the movie.

Kudos to Paramount and the Jackass crew for trying to get him help, giving him multiple chances and ultimately booting him off the film, it's something they had to do. It's the only thing that you can do with addicts in that bad of shape.

All I'm saying is that after Dunn's tragedy, it feels off having a Jackass send off movie called "Forever" without two of the founding members of Jackass.

That trailer also proves that Bam's absence will not affect the quality of the pranks and stunts, etc.

It's just a bummer, I know he's a piece of shite, but it still sucks he couldn't pull himself together just enough to film this.

Glad I'm not the only one. I'm fine not having Bam. I always thought he was a huge doucher. Trailer looks awesome.

Like I said in another thread about this. Once I hear "Hi, I'm Johnny Knoxville and welcome to Jackass" and that music kicks in. I can't help but laugh and a big smile comes on my face.

I dont know, it just seems like life to me. When you have a group of wild individuals into a bunch of crazy shite and living the life they do, it’s inevitable that a couple of individuals would flame out. The fact that they have as many folks returning that they do is a miracle.

With all the shite going on in the world the past 18 months, everyone needs to grab a beer, relax and watch this movie

I have fond memories of him in the TV show and the cky skate videos, but he didn't do much in the movies. His stunts usually involved his parents, or they involved him setting up something else to surprise another member. He didn't detract from the movies or anything, but he was also the biggest complainer about getting hurt or doing something gross.

Bam always embellished his reactions to stunts anyway

I think when you drink your own piss in a music video, you've pretty much stopped spiraling.

The Dildo rocket was pretty good.

Some of the early key stunt ideas that define the show were CKY/Margera bits like the shopping carts or most the skateboard related stuff.

But overall, you are right IMO, Bam's best work is outside of Jackass, mainly CKY1-4 and the Viva La Bam run.

I never enjoyed this... I just never liked the whole, "Watch me be shitty to my parents and they do nothing about it because I"m rich." bit. It is one thing to make fun of yourself, like most of the Jackass cast is so good at. It is another to make your parents look like greedy bumbling idiots that you despise.

By the time VLB came on I was a huge fan of CKY and Bam so I felt like I knew his parents, friends, crew, etc. I watched that show bc I love the entire CKY crew and it has some really funny moments. The parents thing did get old but at the same time you had Rake, Raab Himself, Dunn, or Dico just doing some wild off the wall shite.

That was my point as well. It’s still going to be great, but it will be different without two of the OGs there.

But I also doubt this will be the last. They said 3D was it but here they are. It does feel like the last, though.

How old were you when you saw this?

It's not a knock at all.

I ask because as a kid, I used to think the picking on Phil was hilarious.

Now in my early 30s, I think a lot of the stuff is less funny and more mean-spirited.

That's actually a fair question. I'm in my early 50's. So, I guess I was then, where you are now.
