I wonder what David was listening to when he told Jack he wouldn't know who they were. My guess is Drive Shaft.

Yea, it was an awkward scene though it seemed to be by design. I guess they felt a need to keep Kate as a main character in the loop. Kate is looking for Claire and again it makes me wonder if they all rendezvous at the Temple tonight.
