See, I though the answered a pretty big question last night regarding the role the six people touched by Jacob prior to 815.
That being what..?
And I have a feeling that your answer will only be theory (if you're talking about Hurley/Sayid vs. everyone else)...because Hurley is still completely normal. And even Sayid is normal (so far).
Also, I don't know if I am buying the whole "the templars are protecting them" angle. I think they just may be full of shite.

Well if the previews are telling the truth then it said that next week that the time for asking questions is over and we will start to get some answers.
I don't buy that either. I hope you're right, but Lost previews/trailers are notorious for that...making you expect answers, but then changing it up and not giving any. Also, when Locke said that, it was clearly edited mid-statement. I look forward to more of a "I will tell you everything you want to know....just as soon as ____________.." Which would piss me off.

That the six touched by Jacob prior to 815:
Jack
Sawyer
Kate
Locke
Sun
Jin
are the only ones that the Others are truly concerned with.

I don't know...they all seemed pretty interested in Hurley when he said Jacob had sent them and that Jacob was dead.
I'm not disagreeing with you, just saying that it's still all just theory at this point.

I think that the writers must intentionally write one episode that is high octane with a lot of reveals but then usually follow that epidsode (or small group of episodes) with an episode that is "slower" or devoid of many reveals. If every episode was high octane and revealing then fans might become inured to it. In other words, how can you tell an episode is kick arse if you don't have less kick arse episodes (all LOST episodes kick arse to some degree) to compare it to.
Tension and release...rinse, repeat.

i can only speak for myself but i just ready for this show to be over. I do not want fillers, do not make the final season 16 episodes if your going to have fillers. I have spent to much time thinking about this shite so do not tell me there going to be answers and give me fillers.
I am also sick of them ending scenes mid conversation.

One of the comments to Damon's twitter page put it perfectly:
There are two types of LOST episodes. The first is like "LA X" which is a high octane, stand alobe great episode, that leaves you with your jaw on the floor. The second is a slower, piece of the puzzle type episode that you appreciate later down the line.
This was the latter.
Perfect example: Think of the disappointment surrounding the episode where Hurley finds the Dharma van in Season Three. Viewed alone it was a terrible episode, but looking back it was one of the major hints as to the purge and Ben's relationship with his father.

Well, you are going to have a disappointing season. This series has been geared towards the fans earning the answers. It makes them think about scenerios, context clues, and symbolism. If you're expecting a scene where Jack and Jacob sit at a table and Jacob basically answers every question Jack has, I think you're going to be sorely disappointed.

Okay, are we for certain that MIB = Smoke Monster = Locke = Evil? Because something with that doesn't sit right with me. Maybe I'm forgetting something; if so, please let me know.
We see a lot of smokie in the beginning of the series, but then it is mostly forgotten, right? There's no mention of it by Whidmore's group during the time travels, nor do they seem afraid of it. If the Others are protective of Jacob, then wouldn't the smoke monster try and take them out?
Also, the monster hangs out by the temple. The same hole that Hurley leads the group through with Sayid last week is the same hole where the monster appears and attacks the French group. It was also in the episode with Ben and his daughter last season. Same temple?
So, what if the monster is good and Jacob is bad/evil? Who has Jacob ever helped? Just my thoughts.

We saw MIB manipulate Ben to kill Jacob and Jacob didn't even try to stop him. Evil? I don't think so.

MIB = Smokie - yes
MIB = Locke - yes
As to whether any of them are actually evil is still up in the air, but I believe they are.

It's made at least one appearance in every season.

Meh. We saw about 10 minutes of on-screen time of Widmore's group during the flashbacks.

1. He couldn't kill Jacob even he did take out the Others
2. My theory is that he has to manipulate some people on the island to help him escape.

Yeah, again under my theory, MIB's whole goal is to escape the island and the only way to do that is through the temple. Therefore, he is constantly looking for ways to get in which means he is always around it.

Possible.

is it really do much to ask for the characters to ask question that are relevant? the whole "asian guy trying to convince jack to give Sayid the pill" scene might have been the must frustrating scene ever.
but i should not expect anymore from this show
frick you lost, please do not waste my next 15 weeks

Was it Season 1 or Season 2 that Locke was almost pulled underground by Smokie? MIB obviously tried to claim/infect him early on.
Just a thought.

Here's an idea, quit watching it now so you won't be dissapointed. No matter how it ends, it probably won't please you.

The whole premise of the "game" that Jacob and MIB are playing, and the unknown set of rules that may exist, is too much of an unknown to really serve to bolster any theory. Jacob can leave the island so why not MIB? They are playing the same game so they should have the same rules. Why doesn't MIB just go turn the wheel (since he can perform physical acts in Locke's body) and thus get transported off the island?
I love all the speculation caused by the unanswered questions, but the Temple being MIB's only means off the island doesn't make sense to me. Also, how is it that MIB lost his own human form (the one that was talking to Jacob on the beach) and became Smokie? Why can't he just manipulate others in his human form as Jacob has? Conversely, why can't Jacob just become a puff of white smoke and do good deeds? Again, same game . . . should have the same rules applied to each player.

They probably have the same, or very similar rules. Part of the game is to prove their point, by doing things that they think humans react to.

So I was just looking at stuff on the intrawebs about last night's episode. A lot of people were making claiming that they were an awful lot of questions asked by characters on the show.
Now a few people are claiming to have gone back and counted - 108 questions.
Also, in case anyone doesn't know, there are 108 stiches on a baseball.

If the writers did that on purpose....damn.
