Great season and really solid end with Luke as King.

Anyone else hope that, in Daredevil Season 3, Harlem's Paradise gets a visit from Wilson Fisk?

LC S2 is good. Everyone that liked the first half of LC S1 should watch S2. Cage finally stops being the reluctant hero and Bushmaster was a great villain. He was strong enough to be a legit rival for Luke and he has a compelling back story that explains why he's doing bad things. He isn't just a greedy or evil 1 dimensional villain.

I really enjoyed Misty, and she and Colleen had great chemistry. They will probably be the best thing about Iron Fist Season 2. Speaking of IF, I can't believe how much love Danny Rand is getting here. I disagree completely with those that say this is the best he's been, I thought he looked as bad as ever in the fight scenes and he just doesn't have the presence to be schooling the always stoic Mike Coulter on being still. Patty Cake was really good, but 5 seconds of awesomeness doesn't make up for an entire episode of "what were they thinking?" I really wish they would have done a better job of casting IF.

SPOILERS through the end of S2

I liked the way everything ended. Mariah and Shades going down, Luke becoming king of Harlem, Misty becoming a frenemy. The only thing that bothered me was them keeping Tilda around. Taking down Mariah fit her, sticking around and trying to join the thug life doesn't. But they did set Luke up so that whatever happens next should be interesting.

Agreed on all counts. DD 1, Punisher, and JJ 1 are in a tier of their own for me, but the second season of Luke Cage I'd put right below them with Daredevil season 2 as the middle tier.

Misty and Colleen are good enough that I'd have decent hopes for IF season 2 being decent if it wasn't for Finn Jones sucking so much.

It's not as if Tilda Johnson is a villain in the comics.

Oh wait...

I was disappointed to see Mariah go. She was great and I especially liked see her go full gangsta. I wanted to see more of her but I guess now we get her daughter doing voodoo magic or whatever.

Tilda is the villain called Nightshade. She’s probably the next bad guy.

If it's in the comics I guess that's the plan, they just did a terrible job of setting her up as a future villain. She was introduced as a holistic doctor that wanted nothing to do with her criminal family ties and was genuinely disgusted by the heinous acts her mother committed. She doesn't seem like she's got it in her to be the bad guy. Even the bad things she ended up doing she usually did for good guy reasons.

I agree, but man did she go out with a bang. Her ghost is going to haunt Luke from here forward, which is a good thing.

I really enjoyed season 2, was definitely better than 1.

Thought it was great Mariah had set it up for Luke to be the King. Tilda with the Game of Thrones lipstick kiss.

As for Danny Rand- he was still meh but I can deal with him being in only like 2 episodes.

Long live the King

I couldn't be happier. she's a terrible actor and the character sucks. Extremely happy she's gone. I fast forwarded through tons of scenes with her talking about crap i didn't care about. I just simply did not care one iota about her, or what she was doing.

I could barely even pay attention in the finale. kept losing interest. Mariah is terrible, Shades is terrible, Bushmaster could have been a great villain but they were too busy trying to make him a good/bad guy. Should have never killed off Cottonmouth.

I enjoyed Mariah's character (great balancing act of being a polished public figure yet still delving into hood-rat when shite got deep), but S2 needed to be her swansong to keep the show fresh. Still, I will miss things like her randomly calling Misty "heffuh".

I didn't know about her daughter's eventual turn, but I too thought it was a bit too abrupt considering how she was portrayed leading up to the reading of the will. That sudden desire to want the club was completely out of character for who she had been up to that point.

I like the symmetry of Luke becoming the King of Harlem and presiding from Harlem's Paradise.

While I was giddy at the thought of Powerman & Iron Fist, the reality of it was... lacking. Aside from "pattycake" Iron Fist was completely superfluous in that fight.

Still, it was great to see Luke finally accepting his role as hero of Harlem and taking up that mantle with gusto.
