I laugh when they were at Don birthday party and Megan is doing that song and dance. Roger:"Why don't you sing like that?" Jane: "Why don't you look like him?"
Zoomy zoo was so awful.

It wasn’t her looks. It was attitude.
I watch mad men every night. Seen every episode roughly 3-4 times
Go re watch season 1. From the minute Peggy walks in they are hard legging her like she is beautiful
Doesn’t bother me at all. The show to me is perfection

On rewatch it's funny how often Pete is on the right side of an argument but he's such an annoying little pest you still want him to eat shite

I recently decide to watch it for the first time, and I got through episode 3 but the show still hasn't hooked me yet. I know this must pick up (like skyrocket based on how slow the first 3 episodes have seemed) based on everyone lauding it, but with really good shows I'm normally hooked by episode 3. Is this one of those shows that has a slow first season but then has a big jump in season two, or will the switch flip in this first season?
It’s not an 8 episode Netflix show that’s going to give you an explosive scene in the first couple episodes to keep you on the hook for the rest of the show
It’s a slow burn. Hooks people at different points and for different reasons, but I wouldn’t expect some specific scene to really make it click for you, it eventually typically will just grasp you in its own momentum. For me something about Betty shooting the birds in season 1 is what made me realize how much I enjoyed it and I was hooked from then on.
I do find the show finds its footing once they put the Dick Whitman plot to bed. It weighs down the first season a little bit

I started watching Mad Men about a month ago. I just never got around to it. I am pleasantly surprised how great the series is. Turning out to be one of my top 10 series.

He's also a great and necessary character.
"not great bob!"
"If I’m going to die , I want to die in Manhattan"
“Did you know we are in the presence of a BONA FIDE RACIST??”
"Direct marketing. I thought of that. Turned out it already existed but I arrived at it independently."

Yea, it was a total mis cast.
For the record, I think this is the only major flaw in the show.

I believe almost every single guy in her arc at least heavily flirted with her except Don (and of course cooper).
I don’t remember Roger ever putting any moves on her.

2. Why is Sylvia and Dr. Rosens apartment that is a floor above dons so much shittier?
I think thats on purpose. Some kind of commentary on people who are faking it and superficial success. There are lots of themes of "faking it" considering Draper isn't really Draper.
He isn't really draper
He didnt' come up in advertising, he lateralled from a low rent sales job in fur
He isnt' really happy
He's barely married for the second time
Contrast that with Rosens. Upper middle class doctor, now balding and kind of boring. Has a wife that was probably a total babe 20 years ago looking for attention. While Rosen seems boring and bald he is actually "making it" while Draper is a flash in the pan.
Amazing show for so many reasons. Enjoy.

She was the right person for that role once she became a copywriter full time.
But yeah, total miscast for the fresh piece of arse that all the jr execs want to bang.
They also tried to make her some kind of seductress again with Ted… Again, just no.
