I had no idea he was 7 ft tall in real life so I'm going with directors fault. One thing the show could never replicate is the height of the characters in the book. Half the knight in Westeros were 6'6 and 260 lbs of solid muscle.

Being flayed alive would indeed be a VERY rough way to go! I can't even begin to imagine the horror of dying that way

He was by far the best Mountain. 2nd season mountain hardly deserve mention, and the current one looked goofy and clumsy in the trial by combat

yeah, S1 Mountain had that rage in his eyes. S2 mountain looked like a basketball player. S3 mountain was big and muscular, but looked too calm.

One that always stuck with me was in season 2 at when they'd put rats in the buckets and attached them to the prisoners chest and hold fire to one end causing the rats to claw through the prisoner.. seems like a terrible way to go.

Gruesome to see is probably the Viper's death.

Most painful to suffer would be burned at the stake or flayed alive slowly by the sicko of the north.
