No because it’s not as quotable a movie.

Agreed. Neither is Happy Gilmore.

quote:

“You suck, ya jackass”, “Youre pretty sick Chubbs”, “Gold jacket, green jacket, who gives a shite”, “Are you too good for your home?”, “I don’t want a piece of you, I want the whole thing”, “The price is wrong, bitch”

None of which are in the Anchorman ballpark. I’m exceptionally indifferent to all of those quotes.

It’s Forrest Gump IMO

There’s several more like make me a bird.. and the jumped up and bit me, etc

I’m not saying they are all the best, but there’s so many and it’s an incredibly popular movie for all age groups.

Not the most quoted but Jerry Maguire has a few top heavy quotes.

Past 20-30 years and it’s easily Blazing Saddles for me. I could recite that entire movie.

I thought the point of the thread was to try and decide the most quoted movie of the last 20 years, not determine the most quotable movie.

Caddyshack (ETA: Not past 20 years, sorry) and Big Lebowski have to be way, way up there.

Dumb & Dumber for me... Ghostbusters, Talladega Nights, Christmas Vacation are all up there as well.

Wild card contender: Varsity Blues.

It was, but people like me who either didn't pay attention to what was in the OP decided to change the point of the thread

So my entry of A League of Their Own obviously doesn't apply to the thread, but in terms of all time, I put it and Forrest Gump up there with any movie.

Put an infinite number of chimps with an infinite number of typewriters in a room, and they will wrote the works of Shakespeare.

Put three high school boys in a room, and they’ll quote the entire script of Monty Python and the Holy Grail in an afternoon.

Another topic for another day, but such an interesting theorem.

I'm sorry, but those are not commonly used quotes. You love Happy Gilmore, we get it. You can't just will it into existence as the most quotable movie.

For me, in the last 20 years, it's probably Anchorman, Old School, and 40 Year Old Virgin (especially the old Indian dude)
