A little film called Alien Nation begs to differ on the originality of District 9. Not the same movie, but it knocks holes in the claim of originality.

All movies have the same 4 elements in them..

it is only a matter how you use them, and show them to tell the story of your movie.

Best
2001 has a lot of good points

the story line is the weakness of the movie.

the Gods must be crazy is an off take of Mark Twain's A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court..very good movie.

Primer

I watched it high and had no fricking clue what happened. The second time around it made much more sense

I've watched it at least 4 times and I'm still not sure of the chain of events. I looked it up and there are hundreds of pages/websites with the "solution". Great fricking movie made on a shoestring budget.

Never saw Primer, but the Spanish Prisoner is a very good movie based on plot twists and an ambiguous ending.
