They are very short books. First book is around 150 pages. The only critiques I see online are the episode lengths so I think Apple will get the message next season. I would prefer 5-6 45 min episodes rather than 10 20 min ones. Or maybe adapt two books at a time.

Yeah, it’s a good show. Just wish I had waited until the season was over then watched them all. And I’m usually not a binge watcher. Seems every week I’m getting into the show, enjoying and then bam, it’s over.
Also, I think it would be cool for an extra if at the end of the season they gave us a full episode of The Rise and Fall of Sanctuary Moon.

Trailer looks super diverse, so it must be good.
Looks decent. I like A.S. Worth a shot.

The narration.
I understand having the voice over was the easiest way to both translate the text and get us in its head. The amount of voice over in the first 3 episodes was oppressive and made me consider quitting. They've cooled it a bit since then, thank God.

I'm caught up on this show now, and it is enjoyable to watch. I like how short the episodes are and the humor. And I think the cast has good chemistry too.
Sort of gives me some Resident Alien vibes.

Newest episode was a good one, especially the Sanctuary Moon segment.
2 more episodes left this season.

Perfect time to catch up for the finale next week. Another good episode this week.

This is definitely one of the more enjoyable shows I've watched. I'll binge watch it again at some point after the finale.

Haven't started this yet. Curious to how it holds up/accurate it is to the books. These are some of Mrs. Iwys favorite books. Apparently the audiobooks are top notch too.

It’s a very accurate adaptation of the first book. The biggest change is the perspective. It’s not all from MB’s POV like the books, but it would be hard to translate that to screen because it would be so much internal dialogue. Incredibly accurate casting of the supporting characters.
It’s a short book, so the episodes are very short. Won’t be as bad since you can binge. The final episode will be available tomorrow night.

I’ll watch the next season because the episodes are short and aren’t very hard to watch. I get a few laughs out of it but overall I’m not very impressed.

It was a good finale. I thought we were going to get a little bit more as a tease for season 2 but I’m still happy how it ended.
Let’s hope the wait for season 2 is as short as the episodes this season.

A hopeful remark from the showrunners regarding season 2.

The finale opens up a lot possibilities for both Murderbot and “Murderbot.” Which direction would like you to pursue if Apple renews the show? [Apple announced on Thursday that the show had been renewed for a second season.]
PAUL WEITZ: We’ll stick with the books for sure, but we might use more than one book in a second season.
CHRIS WEITZ: We’ll probably use more than one book for the second season because one thing I do take from the fans is that the episodes are too short for their taste. [Laughs] Obviously you don’t want to make them feel too long.

Started watching and it’s got a pretty good cast. Despite the over the top diversity hippie science group, where “almost“ every damn box is checked, so far it seems to work. Now I’m not sure why, other than to show case Skarsgård, the Corporation would make a *full human face featured android, but then cover it up with a helmet… do they all look like him by model, individuals, or is each one unique? But the writing is not too bad.
* Seems it plays favorably to the book version

Avenue 5 was a great show. First season was funny as shite.

Really liked the series but the finale felt like a series finale. Murderbot got his freedom basically and is off to live his life. Without spoilers do the books basically follow new adventures of Murderbot or is his original crew still involved?
