I'll probably see it. I know it's another remake but, you know, Godzilla.

My one big fear about this movie is that they're going to give it too much "Cloverfield" treatment.
You know, the monster only being seen from the human point of view... out of windows, his foot crashing down in front of your car, etc., while the camera shakes like your 5 year old daughter is filming it.
The movie needs to have wide shots so you can see Monster A jacking up Monster B. Why is this so hard to understand?
First-person single camera monster movies have been done so many times it's not new anymore.
Please don't make this a monster movie without the monster. That's all I'm asking.

I don't think it will go as far as Cloverfield or Edwards' first movie Monsters in hiding the monsters until the end, but it is going to focus on the POV from the ground.

I heard there were talks of a pacific rim cross over.
What would be the palpable difference? It would basically be the same movie as Pacific Rim

The trailers seem to point to this, and that is a nice balance and OK in my book. Allows for the terror that ground POV provokes along with the spectacle of the wide shot.
