Scruffy is inconsistent with his use of the third person in threads on other boards. PsychTiger has seen Scruffy use the third person on both this and the Poli Board. Perhaps Scruffy forgets from time to time which board he is on at the moment.

There is just something about the trailer that is off that makes me think it's not going to be good... idk something about how ww2 movies are filmed, it's like if the filter is not just right it throws me off

As to the posters who've mentioned that they thought this movie was originally scripted as a comedy, I don't know how that possibly could have worked. Even with Bill Murray and John Goodman, I'm not sure how you make Nazi occupation and the systematic looting of Jewish families assets a funny story.
Didn't see Inglorious Basterds huh?

Looks like a bad Hogans hero or Gilliland island remake

Not surprising.
Not many George Clooney movies are even watchable.
Sucks that Matt Damon has tied himself to that enterprise.

This movie doesn't seem to know what it wants to be. The trailer makes it look like the actors are basically phoning it in. Clooney looks like he's playing George Cooney. Damon looks like he's playing Matt Damon.

Who came up with the idea to put John Goodman in a fricking Army uniform?

The men the main characters are based on were academics, museum curators, and the like. Clooney's character was 47 when they sent him to Europe after D-Day. Most, if not all, weren't "real" soldiers.

Is Men who stare at goats worth a watch?
Posted on 2/6/14 at 10:37 pm to Jwodie
Looked dumb and it looked like another "Let's get an allstar cast and try to make up for this POS film."

Oh I see. I haven't read the book yet but this makes sense. I was thinking WTF every time I saw him in the trailers
