What has happened to this board? This used to be one of the few places on Tigerdroppings where you could actually go and have real conversations about stuff without someone interjecting craziness and politics. Now there is a post about a new movie and half of the replies are about comparing Fauci to the third reich and complaining that Hollywood is too mean to the Nazis

I watched this last year and thought it was really good. Much better imo than most WW2 films coming out. Also look up a German film called "The Captain". Its about a low level soldier who takes a captain uniform off a dead body during the last weeks before the Reich fell. very good.

All I was saying is its way too saturated. Why do we need another film about Nuremberg? There are plenty of other stories that occurred during the war and post war. Someone brought up the Japanese empire and their atrocities on the Chinese during the 30s. The soviets killed their own citizens via controlled famines. Nothing wrong with pointing this out.

I mean, I would appreciate a horrific film that went into the atrocities of the communists every now and then whose actions were on the same level and in some cases worse than the Nazis.
I’d literally rather have been a Jew in Auschwitz than have been a member Romanian clergy under the gentle hands of the communists.
Not going to go into the details here, but it’s the sickest shite you can imagine where I can’t fathom treating another human being that way. Like worse than Ramsay Bolton shite.

The Rape of Nanking was too sick even for the Nazis, and they helped Chinese people escape from the Japanese. Think of how fricked up you have to be for the Nazis to think that you’ve gone too far. To be fair, it was 1937 before the Nazis started their real sick shite, but it’s still a hell of a standard.
