I love when Cap told him to smash!
Holy crap that was good. I love how they are finally showing actual violence with people DYING as opposed to past Super Hero flicks with minor casualties even though cities are torn apart.
I can't even imagine the death count in this movie. Although they did slightly cop out by not SHOWING civilian deaths even though there had to be plenty.
Did I mention THEY GOT HULK RIGHT!!!
And yes, Hulk whipping Loki was hilarious. I bet most of the nation missed his line.

Whedon needs to be given a trilogy on this. It will be better than Nolan's Batman bullshite.

Let Thanos have his glory in the sequel. Whedon has a sci-fi background so you know he's going to love working on it.
Change the game so to speak with the Civil War storyline. Give them a villain that's a secret puppetmaster so it's not all just hero vs. hero. They genuinely disagree and come to blow. Not just communication issues like in this movie, but serious philosophical differences that they feel strongly enough about that they come to blows over.

it was entertaining, but nothing amazing
TDK, for all its faults, was still amazing

Spiderman looks like it is going to emphasize some action and if the Fantastic Four reboot ever gets going I hope it emphasizes it as well.

I like action movies that are fun. A lot of action movies forget to add that aspect to their story.
Avengers was fun. It was everything a comic book should be.
I honestly think the action in this movie is what all comic movies from this point on will be judged by.

I liked how all six of them get in on the action. Black Widow and Hawkeye weren't liabilities at all.

You're comparing two different styles/genres of movies because their main characters have the same origins (from comic books). Stop.

This movie FAR exceeded my expectations. Its easily one of the top two comic-based movies of all time, and it may just be #1.
