It's just sad. These "victories" taint the wins by Jag and Chelsea who actually deserved to win.

Identity politics have broken this game. If you check enough identity boxes, all you need to do is be mildly likable to the other house guests and you are going to go a long way. Lets just be honest here that someone like Zae has to play a completely different game than someone like Ashley.
I think Mickey is the perfect example of this. All she had to do was not be an overly arrogant and unlikable clown. She turns that off and she has a path to winning the show.
I guess that makes sense, seeing as this game is a social experiment and identity politics have also broken our society.
Nobody wants to talk about the elephant in the room which is that, generally, every group outside of straight white people have a tribal mindset. When you make those groups 75% of the casting you are going to have this issue every season.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Honestly, we are the dumb ones for continuing to give ratings to these people.

People can continue to use the Cookout comp all they want, but nobody voted for Ashley because she was black. Vince completely botched his jury management. Vince lost the game more than Ashley won it. This season was not remotely close to being about race. Everybody hated Ashley at the beginning, but she turned her game around. Everybody hated Keanu almost all season. None of it ever had anything to do with skin color.

I think Ashley’s game and strategy was underrated for its effectiveness. She was not playing for what viewers thought about her . . . she was playing to win over the house/jury.
I posted the following on 8/28:
Ashley put in the work, it was just boring grunt work that wasn’t interesting enough to make the edit for TV.

am shocked by what I am about to say . . . but I think Ashley is playing the best game right now. After week one, she has flown under the radar and poses no apparent threat to anyone. She has aligned herself with Will and the two of them are coasting along. Ashley also seems to know when and how to plant information with certain players to sway their attention in the direction best for her game. Her Diary Room comments indicate she has a better understanding of the game than she leads on to others. Most importantly, after week one she has kept her emotions in check and doesn’t show when she is pissed.

jag?!?! The only winner to be unanimously evicted in their season. Who basically didn't have to play big brother after week 9 because he just won physical comp after physical comp? Please dont put him and Chelsea in the same sentence lol

Running on a treadmill fighting this battle. This season was the best one since Season 20, maybe 22, but for sure the best post-Cookout season. Vince was the only person besides Ava that Ashley was beating who made jury, maybe Lauren depending on how she got there. It was the perfect storm that unfolded to get the scenario where she won, and anyone who reads anything into it more deeply than that is stretching to find something to bitch about.

I would say he deserved to win more than Chelsea who was handed the game by bad decisions by Mackenzie. He actually won shite

This wasn't a season I would go back and re-watch like ive done for some of them. But it wasnt terrible either. At no point did I ever quit watching the show, or even feeds, out of disgust.

There are a large number of people in this thread who said they didn't watch, or quit watching, yet they have definitive opinions about everything involving the game. So either they watched, they keep up from some biased news source to form those opinions, or they are just making stuff up.

I hope reality show TV producers are taking note that Keanu won 65% of the votes for America's favorite.
Oh I am sure they will. Except the only take away they have will be that he was a minority. They will totally negate all the stuff that made him likeable.

I'm ready for Vince's reaction to how the "cheatmance" has been all over the internet.

Except for the guy who said he submitted his vote for his little girl.
If people refuse to see the game has gone soft, that’s on them but those who defend the new product are missing the point.

I will say as a dad of young kids (10-8-4) this was a great season to introduce them to the show and game. They cheered on Lauren like crazy during her battle back and were super happy when Ashley won over Vince. I do appreciate that this cast wasn’t full of people who tried to push some agendas and whatever attempted showmances kept it very PG.

Yeah he was voting Ashley over anyone. But he can at least hide behind the fact that he pretty much never talked to Vince.

Dr Will won 0 comps. Derrick only won 4. There is more to the game than winning comps.
Derrick controlled that cast though, and not by floating. He could tell the power players to do anything all season and they would do it without realizing it was all Derrick.
Will isn’t a fair comparison. He’s a legend because no one has been able to play that style game and win. He’s one of one.
At the point where floating and keeping the target off your back by being a weak player is considered a strategic move, the game is flawed. In this case the jury vote was against Vince as much as they voted for Ashley.

One more thing after rewatching season 2. They really need to bring back the food and luxury competitions.

I fully agree with you in principle, more responding to the comment that set this sets a precedent to not win comps and ignoring that this is as much social as it is competition based.
A better comparison I should have made was Josh Martinez or Taylor Hale, both only won 2 comps as well, and aren't Mt. Rushmore tier players like Dr. Will and Derrick. Josh won because of the bitter jury against Paul, just like Ashley won because of the bitter jury against Vince. Now that isn't totally fair to Ashley because she played miles ahead of Josh in terms of reads, strategy, and social relationships.
The issue with the game the last few seasons is casting and inflated importance of competitions. Even super fan Adrian recreated comps instead of trying to play socially and he got evicted quickly because of it. They need to get back to casting fans of the game, regardless of skin color, sex, sexuality, or whatever other characteristic CBS wants and cut out the stupid twist where there are 100 competitions per season.

Why is it surprising that he voted for a person he was closely aligned with the entire game to win?

You said you didn't watch this season. How do you have these opinions?

Yall took one comment and ran with it like that's what the entire season was about, and that's simply not true.
That same person would have voted for Ava to win over anybody else also, except maybe Ashley.
