I hope they do this because all I could think about when he was training was how was he supposed to hold up against the flag smashers or walker.

Loved this episode. Had a big ole smile on my face the last 25ish minutes especially with Sam and Bucky in South Louisiana.
Before the snowflakes get in here and complain about it, I believe the way Marvel at least on screen is handling the race stuff with Sam and Isaiah is fantastic. Isaiah harboring those feelings against the government (FDR and Harry Truman's admins did some crazy shite to Isaiah) makes a lot of sense and Sam getting to understand where Isaiah is coming from but also not letting Isaiahs anger and bitterness negatively affect him but using it to want to fight for what's right and being a Captain America for all. Well done.
Alot of people in this world just want to be angry about race and justice and so on without ever wanting to do grow and love others. Sam is the complete opposite.
Loved Sam and Bucky this whole episode. Just good shite. Can't wait for Bucky to make real amends with Mr. Nakajima. It will be powerful.
Sam is going to be a fantastic Captain America. No doubt in my mind. He is a good man.
Also, in my head canon, Bucky definitely fricked Sam's sister. 100%
ETA: Wyatt Russell's acting was fricking PHENOMENAL in this episode. IMO some of the best bits of acting I have seen.

This was a great penultimate episode for the series.

The whole episode was great, and I agree that they’re doing a great job with the racial undertones. Next week is gonna be amazing.

So anyone else convinced that Hydra was the one experimenting on Bradley while they were still hidden within Shield? We already know multiple top scientist that worked with Red Skull jumped over.
Also, great episode. Can't wait for the last episode. I'm still feeling like Shannon Carter is a red herring.

FIFY.
I don't know.
Clearly, she got Batroc out of the Algerian lockup the first time (phone call) and she is still running him with big $$$ (and she also has access to some serious tech). Also, if she's after the Flag Smashers for the serum (either for herself or on behalf of the Power Broker), she could have just had Batroc kill them in the park and not assist with the takeover of the GRC meeting.
As for the acting, it was solid all around. Russell is doing one hell of a job with this show.

He got more than just his chin from his father. That is for sure. Wyatt Russell has been an absolute revelation on this show.
Both Wyatt and Kurt had a "meh, I guess I can fall back on this acting stuff if I have too" outlook on life and turned out to be fantastic actors. Really, the entire Russell/Hawn family seems like perfectly normal and happy people who just happen to be really gifted actors.
It has been a fantastic series so far.

The question that has to be answered is this:
Is de Fontaine
a. The Power Broker
b. An indication that HYDRA is not dead (Madame Hydra in the comics)
c. The tie in to the Thunderbolts
or
d. All of the above
Feige has already indicated that he didn't cast Julia-Louis Dreyfus to be a one-off character.

He got addicted to Dark Chocolate in Wakanda.

Exactly this.
Sam is not a sellout for wanting to be Cap/carrying the flag and Isaiah is not stupid for his opinions and reasoning for saying frick the flag.
P.S Wakandans done hooked Sam up with a fricking Vibranium weave Cap America suit??!! :)

I think they retcon her to form Dark Avengers

Is it really that much of a retcon if she was already part of the Secret Invasion arc?

I liked this episode but didn't love it. I thought the Zemo apprehension was way too rushed. I did like the whole family backstory. I just can't believe Sam couldn't call someone like Pepper Potts for a financial hookup to get the family business back on it's feet. Bucky sure as hell didn't have a problem asking the Wakandans for a favor.
The Shield is NOT the property of the US. Since Vibranium comes from Wakanda it's their property. Since Thanos destroyed Cap's Shield in Endgame it's obvious Steve got another shield.
Good episode.

quote:true, but most of the discussion has been Thunderbolts but since Zemo is apparently locked away in Wakanda forever, it would make sense for her to found and run them (plus, the Nick Fury-esque intro seems fitting)

That was a pretty good episode. I thought it was funny that Bucky has a bit of a sweet tooth for chocolate. It makes sense after spending all that time in Wakanda. A little Dora Milaje à trois, know what I mean?
