It's entertaining but Hollywood's perception of the right/conservatives is truly juvenile. Sean Penn's character is what the left thinks of all non-liberal military folks. Has a lot of the same woke shite Eddington has.

I didn’t see the appeal. It was a different story with good actors. But I just didn’t find the story interesting.

Maybe I just don't get it, but how did they get explosives through security?

It doesn’t preach “woke” in any way I’ve seen before…

I’ve always thought she was smoking. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

It was worth a watch but nothing I would watch again. By the time it was over I didn’t care if it had a happy ending or everyone got murdered. Just could never really get invested in it

She’s a terrible actress. Made the first part of the movie really hard to get through. Rest of the movie was ok, I fell asleep before the end and haven’t felt like going back to watch it.

I assume DDL is #1 but Penn doesn't hold a candle to Oldman

Watched it last night. Enjoyed it. I thought that it was unserious and unrealistic enough to not be preachy or pretentious, or have any kind of strong message in a certain direction. Leo, Del Torro, and Penn all did a fine job, and made me laugh pretty good.

My only real gripe in the movie was the redemption they gave Perfidia at the end of the movie with the poem, and Charlene being like "I'm now going to follow in mom's footsteps as a dumb revolutionary! She was such a great woman that I want to emulate even though she is a cold blooded murderer, a filthy rat to her best friends, and left my dad to raise a child all by himself that isn't even his, but actually his mortal enemy's! Yay!"

Perfidia was a gigantic piece of trash that deserved to die in the movie.

she also looks like someone who has panty hose over their face

The trailer looked good but I read the synopsis and it sounded like just a mess.

He was hilarious. That was the point. He was intended as a caricature.

Yeah, an offensive caricature. Honestly, the whole interracial love triangle of the three main characters was full of offensive stereotyping and racial fetishization.
