Like they said, if you liked Superbad and Knocked Up, you'll like this. It's not as fresh as those two, but its legit. But its their kind of humor plus Franco's performance is hilarious.
Cool.

and cool! I think anything more than 2 hours gets stale.

Red makes this movie. Pretty funny, not sure if it as funny as Step Brothers but it is still pretty damn funny.

of course, but I mean more so comedies. 40 year old, Knocked up and Sarah Marshall were just under 2 hours and although I loved all of them, there were some stretches where I was kind of ready for it to be over.

McBride and Franco were great. Rogen was pretty good, but the fact that I've seen him in so many movies has made him lost his luster just a touch. It seems like he usually plays the same type of character time and time again. It wasn't my absolute favorite comedy, but I felt like it delivered enough to be worth the price of admission.
Now my last big comedy of the summer left is Tropic Thunder. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint.

I loved Superbad. Didn't care for Knocked Up all that much.
Pineapple Express looked kinda stupid, like Dude where's my car with better actors.

Thought it was really funny. Franco and Red really stole the show. It was good to see Franco get to finally play a character closer to Daniel Desario on Freaks and Geeks. The action and fight scenes were classic.

terrible movie, so dissapointing. step brothers was 20x funnier and by the end you're just waiting for it to end. very drawn out at the end...1.5*/5*
Completely disagree I thought it was much better than Stepbrothers.

did anyone catch the hints that the long haired dude was a gay?
I hope everyone did they were laying on the homo-eroticism b/w him and Red pretty thick. That was hilarious.

Yeah, Red calling Saul a "bromosexual" among other things..

pineapple express was definitly funny. funny, but disappointing. franco is without a doubt the highlight of the movie. i was high as shite, and i didnt think it should even deserve to be in the same breath as superbad. but maybe thats just me. overall i would say it was worth watching though.

For those who haven't seen it, it is very funny, and if anyone says otherwise they are in the minority because the theater was completely packed and everyone was pretty much laughing out loud the whole time.
Right up there with Superbad, I personally thought it was even funnier with how over the top it was and I pretty much laughed at every thing Franco said the whole movie.
Great stoner movie.

yeah brother i just gotta call it like i see it. i burned a little bit beforehand and took a couple of muscle relaxers when i arrived on the scene. but the movie had me wishin i was next door for dark knight again.
infact, i'll go out on limb and say dark knight was funnier. shite it has more memorable funny lines than P.E.
"wanna see a magic trick?"
"all i want is my phone call"
dark knight - 2
pineapple trainwreck - 0

i guess i'm way in the minority on this point but i really wanted Franco to shut the frick up the vast majority of the movie.
IMO it was far and away the worst of this group's movies. There wasn't an entire scene that i thought was funny, just a one liner here or there. And if it was under two hours you could have fooled me because it was dragging like a mother fricker pretty much the whole time.
and before i'm accused of just "not getting it" or whatnot i find that Knocked up, Superbad, and 40 have incredible high rewatchabilty, especially for comedies. but i'd never sit through that whole movie again.
