This was much more loyal to the books than the Cruise movies. I enjoyed it and hope for more seasons.

I'm a few episodes in and am really enjoying it. The main issue I have is that so many people are anxious to fight Reacher. I just think most people would try to deescalate if that dude is standing in front of them.

And most of them are tiny. Even with a few tiny friends to help, I don't think anyone in real life would frack around with Reacher.
I think the most realistic engagement was the dude yelling at his girlfriend. He backed down real fast.

It actually happens fairly often in real life. For some reason that I'm sure a psychologist could tell you the name of, there's always guys at bars, concerts, etc that insist on starting shite with the biggest dude there.

A pretty good show, surprised they show boobies and good looking one at that, but over all, I thought the MC was a miscast since I only ever seen him as a very bad Aquaman in the Smallville series and then the Thad the goofy linebacker from Blue Mountain state.
But gotta admit it was pretty good. Also dude is jacked! Didn't look like it in Blue Mountain State.

Enjoyed it. Haven't read the books. Liked all three main characters and their development and back stories. Action was better and seemed more believable in the first six episodes I'd say. The last two episodes felt kind of rushed. Also the antagonists for the other two main characters felt a little forced. I imagine most of this is better fleshed out in the book. Maybe four more episodes would have done a better job?

The ending was the same in the book, not that great in the book either.
I feel like the book built up the other cop a little more as the good cop and then reacher realized through a few things that he was the bad guy. The show I think it was just like oh he's still alive, he's the bad one.

So I have a question for those that have read the books & also watched this season
I have some driving coming up soon and will be more than likely listening to an audiobook
Now that I’m hooked on Jack Reacher, would it be a waste to listen to the Killing Floor or should I just skip it now that I have seen this season?

It’s still worth it to read or listen to the book. I used to know the names of the first 10 books or so, but I’m old…

Loved the show. Only a few gripes but overall wasn't that bad of gripes. Neagley (sp?) was a bad actress. I hope she was a real special forces or military person. No way she made it through auditions. Was disappointed on the final battle with the big bad.

Biggest problem I have with Roscoe is she kept telling Reacher not to worry about her because she can take care of herself only to end up with us watching her basically get her arse kicked by a 70 year old dude who needed a walking stick to get around
