Biggest problem I have with Roscoe is she kept telling Reacher not to worry about her because she can take care of herself only to end up with us watching her basically get her arse kicked by a 70 year old dude who needed a walking stick to get around
Was she supposed to be a tiny woman? Is that how she is written in the books? Either way, I think she was miscast. I can live with a small women in that role, but at least give her some size.
At least pretend she works out or something. Her arms were so small, I doubt she can handle the guns she owns.

I read where the actress playing Roscoe wasn’t coming back.

Well, considering the next one wouldn't involve Margrave, I wouldn't expect her to.

I'm pretty sure only Reacher will be back. Well possibly Neagley also.

What I mean is she will not reprise the role even in a guest appearance. There were rumors (maybe unfounded) that they may take some liberties with past characters showing up in future episodes for a few scenes. As of now she’s done playing Roscoe, completely.

I recently got into the Reacher series a few months ago. Have read the first 12 books. Reacher does the Sherlock Holmes deduction with Finley. He knows Finley did something to end up in small town Georgia from a big city like Boston.
Reacher does this as well in other books. He was an investigator and anticipated moves of the suspects he is chasing. He has theories built up
Ive read everyone of the Reacher books and he does theorize but not out loud and not usually to a subject. I appreciate the difficulty of narrating what's in someone's head but I feel like it takes away from the character. Again, my bigger issue is that he isn't dark enough.

Also, If I remember correctly the childhood flashbacks are not from Killing floor. They are pulled from a short book Lee Child did as an origin story for Reacher. Id have to go back and search to find the title.
All in all I like the series. Fun to watch.

I think there's mention of he and the brother fighting back to back against all the other kids when they got to a new base but not a long drawn out thing like that

I have read no books and I am only on episode 5. I will finish the first season tonight, but I do not understand why Joe had to cover for Jack? They were both in the fight. I am not sure why Joe felt he had to lie about the issue? Was Jack on some kind of thin ice and Joe was taking the heat for him?

My take on this is simply no... this part of the story line is simply to develop the idea of the core of both Jack and Joe's character...

Ok so correct me if wrong.
They were both hulking dudes with a since of morality and honor installed in them because they were Marine kids. They both protect weaker people in their own way. But Joe was much more diplomatic and nuanced in his world view. Jack was completely black and white, bad people should be hurt if they are hurting people. He is uncompromising and specifically unapologetic for that viewpoint and has no $hits to give what people think of that worldview.

Just finished it and already for season 2. That was really good.
I agree that the fight by the pool and the old dude from McGaiver was a bit unbelievable, but the fight with the boss was pretty good. In defense of the last fight with the girl, even a 70 year old man with adrenaline going and out weights her by 100 lbs would have been a load for her in a fight. Just bad fight choreography.
The monologuing by the bad guy was hilarious at the end. Then he sets the guy on fire, that was hilarious.

This guy is a lot more Reacher than Tom Cruise ever thought of being. Originally when I heard about this series being made, I was hoping they would cast Tom Hopper for the role, but this guy fits the mold as well.

I'm a few episodes in and am really enjoying it. The main issue I have is that so many people are anxious to fight Reacher. I just think most people would try to deescalate if that dude is standing in front of them.

Yep, this show was really dumb, and cheesy as hell, but I still finished it.
There’s obviously a place for mindless ridiculous fluff, so if someone doesn’t mind that kind of show, then they’ll probably enjoy this.
