Usually maybe true but not always.. i have seen documentarie(s) of Interpol agents actually arresting people and using guns in certain countries.

I think it was a failed state or something hunting war criminals...i forget if it was on Nat Geo or Discovery channel

The most predictable movie maybe ever but I really enjoyed it. RR is hilarious. Terrible plot but the the banter is spit out your chew funny.

Enjoyed it immensely, though I was drinking while watching.

It was good. Entertaining. Don’t expect an epic, thoughtful film. Like others said, turn off your brain. But, it was enjoyable.

Watched this last weekend. It was not an overly great movie, but was good enough and enjoyable. Felt like at times they were trying a little too hard with the sarcastic wit, and the movie is bad about making really difficult things look incredibly easy (movie magic-type shite). But all in all I liked it.

Like people have said though, if you aren't a Ryan Reynolds fan (which I am), you will likely get tired of him pretty quickly.

This also may be the first movie I've seen that Gal Gadot has made. She's nice to look at.

I’m always curious is RR gets to have a bit of say in his own dialogue in movies. Because most of the wit and sarcasm seems tailor made for him and I struggle to think all screen writers give him the same lines. Based on interviews, I’m tempted to say he just ad-libs a lot.

The Rock is what he is. No doubt his movies make bank, but man, he is in a lot of films and tv. Overexposed a bit

And not a very good actor. But he has enough chops to carry mindless, blockbuster-type stuff like this.

Am I the only one that completely couldn't buy that he and GG were together? That just felt super forced and out of place, even if it did make for a neat (though predictable) twist.

I didn’t want to think to much with this film, so that did surprise me. At first I figured he would end up with the female agent.

Pain and Gain he was decent but maybe that's because he was paired with Mark Wahlberg...so two monotones cancelled out any criticism.

But man was he almost nothing in Red Notice...a boring, playing it straight idiot for the "witty" "sarcastic" Ryan Reynolds...the Rock just adds nothing to this movie...a cardboard cutout could've sufficed...and a poster of Gal Gadot hanging on a wall half-nude in every scene would've been better than her appearances.

The entire movie is a Ryan Reynold's vehicle...Van Wilder...and as some poster mentioned...Dead Pool thief.

But man, the Rock...despite his huge presence on screen...is totally overshadowed and frankly I'm surprised he took the role (but I guess he takes everything) because any other actor could've made this a good movie like a Midnight Run...but they didn't bother to give the Rock any good dialogue because what's the point?

To be fair, he was technically supposed to be like that b/c he was conning RR into thinking he was a straight laced FBI man.

That said he had very little chemistry w/Gadot which seems like a difficult thing to accomplish. Maybe that was partly b/c of the last twist of them working together but they didn't really have that "I'm pretty sure they're banging" je ne sais quoi.

My biggest gripe w/the movie was probably that there were one too many plot twists. The Rock and RR were set up by Gadot who is the Bishop, Gadot is working for the a-hole camera guy Brian from The Office, ohh she was playing him all along, the Interpol agent is maybe bad? (like where the frick did she vanish to in Sotto's mansion?), the key to the egg happened to be on RR's father's watch and was revealed when he broke it, the egg is part of an even bigger treasure haul.... that we apparently don't care abut even though the car alone can net them a little over 10% of the value of the egg, and finally The Rock and Gadot were together all along.

Seems like it was complicated just for the sake of being complicated.

That said there was a lot to like if you are a fan of RR or the Rock. In some ways I think actually came across like it could have been an Uncharted movie w/some script finagling. The opening where RR is parkouring all over and climbing scaffolding reminded me of something you'd see in a Jackie Chan movie. It didn't take itself seriously which is nice and some of the jokes like RR wearing a fedora and straight up calling the egg a mcguffin were a good touch.

Agree with others that if you are a RR fan you'll probably like it and if you aren't you'll get really tired of it really fast.

It has real world implications which is what makes it unfortunate. Women are losing their femininity. And men are losing masculinity.

These depictions are bad for us.

I missed this. Are you talking about the car jump from the waterfall? Hundreds, not thousands. And, yes, I understand that would still kill people.

Suspension
Of
Disbelief

Just look at Home Alone 1 and 2. The wet bandits were killed multiple times in reality. If that detracted from your ability to enjoy the movie, you need to just stick with the wine and cheese crowd discussing the layers and complexity of The English Patient.

Oh man. Don’t undersell this one. It gets great in The Who/what wtf is going on and solid in the adventure genre. Must see.
