studio 60, the class, arrested devel,
also really liked boomtown and there was a sitcom i think in the 90's called "powers that be" i think it lasted like 6 episodes but it had a great cast and writing. had niles before he was famous. holland taylor from 2 1/2 men, joseph gordon leavitt from 3rd rock, fran drescher, and william forsythe.
of course this is what kauffman and crane made before they created "friends" so maybe if this show would've existed "friends" "frasier" and others wouldn't have been the same.

I would say Frank's Place. That was a good show...

I liked Studio 60 and Sportsnight. Pushing Daisies was really good as well and I think ABC is going to show the last few episodes this summer. One show that I really liked was Tom Papa's show that only lasted like 3 episodes. It had John Salley and Steve Carrell. And of course AD was awesome.

Anyone else grow up as a kid watching The Pirates of Dark Water, and then have it canceled? That show rocked when I was a kid.

I loved Dead Like Me! I was very upset when it ended.

Wasn't that a cartoon? If so, then yeah that show was pretty good.
I think that came on around the same time as Batman the Animated Series and Peter Pan and the Pirates which were bad arse as well and cancelled too soon.

Charmed.
Any show with Holly Marie Combs, Alyssa Milano, and Kaley Cuoco should never be cancelled.

Firefly -- I am not sure what prompted that decision, but that series could have easily gone done as one of the greatest scifi series ever. It comes pretty dame close to my personal top 5 with only 10 episodes and a movie.
Do you have the dvd of the series? It includes 3 or 4 episodes that never aired.

I didn't renew HBO after Deadwood was cancelled.

HBO how could they cancel DeadWood and Carnaval. For what John From Cincinati and Flight of the Concords.
Showtime cancelled Dead Like ME way to early. At least they gave us Dexter and the Tudors.

Carnivale and Firefly are the two that hurt the most from that list.
Carnivale was just reaching its peak and could gone a number of different directions after season 2. The mythology behind the show was amazing, as were the cast and sets.
Firefly was just horribly handled by Fox (not an uncommon thing). I really think if they would have given it a better time slot and a 2nd season it could have taken off and become a big hit. Its blend of the sci-fi and western genres was completely unique and the chemistry between the actors was fantastic.
Deadwood being canceled sucked too, but i thought it had kind of run its course by that time. Other shows that I watched on that list were Invasion and Jericho, which were both solid shows.
