The porn star skit at the end was funny as usual.

I wouldn't mind seeing more acts like this.

Ok, I'm giving SNL a shot again after casually watching the last few mediocre years.
At the airline skit and so far it's pretty damn good.

the funniest part in the show was Bruce Chandling, the Stand Up Comedian on Weekend Update.

I kept watching that skit. it's rare that a new guy gets a spot like that on his first episode but it was golden.

Surprisingly, new cast member Kyle Mooney gets to bring a character to Weekend Update — a stand-up comic from Brooklyn named Bruce Chandling, who gives his take on Iranian president Hassan Rouhani’s recent U.N. speech. Of course it’s less about politics and all about how him and how he’s from New York, peppered with bad local jokes. It’s a solid character, and Mooney goes all the way on his first night. It’s refreshing to see the new featured players get so much exposure right off the bat, and it shows real confidence in their abilities. So far, so good.

Kyle Mooney got his very own Weekend Update spotlight, playing terrible standup comedian Bruce Chandling. While Mooney’s bit carried more than a whiff of Fred Armisen about it (just call Bruce “The White Fericito”), he did show great commitment and confidence — and being given his own Update bit in this year’s very first episode speaks volumes about the show’s confidence in him. The bottom line: Keep an eye on Mooney.
