I didn’t go. Went to Infinity War Friday instead. Until something drastic changes, I won’t turn loose of any money to watch a Star Wars movie. And up until this one, I’ve seen them all at the theater during their initial release.

the film was fine. but it really shows how far the franchise has fallen if we are celebrating it as one of the better ones.

Uh. YOU brought up May totals. And that’s when I said it was a pointless datapoint (which backfired on you since May is above a billion yet again) because we were discussing opening weekends. Hence your reply with the thread title. I don’t know why I have to recap this for you.

Nah, just making a statement with my wallet. That’s about all Hollywood understands. And not seeing a movie until a TV release is really a 1st world problem. Not really much of a sacrifice on my part.

Same here. You can’t make a proper Solo in the PC world that is Disney. That and how bad TLJ were will not allow me to give Disney money to support what Star Wars has become.

My own tangent? It was opening weekend and the numbers were released. We were all discussing the opening weekend fail and you made the dumb comment that Disney’s biggest mistake was releasing in May rather than December (wrong) and that it would have reached the Opening Weekend projections in that month (wrong).
All about opening weekend. That’s all the info we had at the time. Then you bring up the monthly May totals as of that meant anything to an opening weekend (it doesn’t). I asked what that had to do with our discussion and you quoted the thread title like an idiot (you are).
