Looks like an advertisement for one of those AIDS prep medicines.

Star Trek has some good stuff currently, wife and I are waiting for season 4 of Strange New Worlds, currently watching through Lower Decks, we watched Discovery up until **SPOILER**…….....
.......they go into the future and we lost interest after that.
We've seen trailers for this multiple times and can't see anything that would interest us at all. Even Giamatti and Hunter isn't doing it for us.

Also, those promo pic is a rip off from a one tree hill poster.
That's the feel we got when watching the trailer. We are definitely not the demographic for this.

The demographic they’re going for has zero interest in Star Trek.

It’s pretty much the same for every property they’re trying to re-create in their own image. All they know is that it’s popular so they can use that to insert their own current day agenda. Their own MESSAGE.

The Critical Drinker also has opinions on this new Star Trek

I had already forgot that Granny's Sweet Tea was the 'commander' on this Millennial Love Boat.
And holy hell, that bridge looks like a Vegas buffet bar.

Why does Starfleet Academy even have a ship?
Does the Naval Academy have their own aircraft carrier they just randomly take faculty and students out on?

Star Trek is now just the OC in spacesuits. It's going to fail so hard. It's going to be great.
Who are these morons who think this is actually going to work?

They cancelled Lower Decks for this?

Training aircraft carrier?
But they do have a a small fleet of patrol boats good for medium length cruises for training.

Naw, Hollywood already did that with Designated Survivor season 3.

Yes. The Enterprise D flying inside the Borg cube was epic.

I didn't think it was possible to make Star Trek any gayer than it already is. Yet here we are.

Show this to all of the dumbasses who think that Paramount buying WB is is the better alternative to Netflix buying WB.
All of these companies are fricking trash and only care about pumping out as many half-assed, unfinished shows and films as they can in order to maximize profits. They don’t give a frick about creating unique, original shows and films that people will watch over and over again for years after it gets released.
The world of cinema that we all grew up to love and revere is dead and buried. It’s fricking dead and it will never come back. Streaming and the corporatization of film companies have killed original IP projects. It’s over.

The writers, directors, actors, all absolutely HATE Star Trek.
They're only using the IP as a skin suit to dress up and promote their own fricking agendas. Zero fricks given about the legacy, the concept, the original purpose the series was started, or the FANS who carried the show's values and popularity for DECADES.
Same with Star Wars, Doctor Who, Tolkien, The Witcher, Wheel of Time, Willow, and about a dozen more.
Even Harry Potter, but because JK Rowling has made so much money, she doesn't care anymore. I guess anything to cleanse the pallet of the 3 original kids who grew up to be such twats.

"Klingons are a diverse people".
Technically, yes. But none of them were effeminate queers like this guy. The nerdy/scientific type weren't necessarily good fighters, but they were as on edge and aggressive as any other Klingons. I think that it was because they were kind of ashamed of themselves, so they had a really short fuse. When Worf's kid was grown up in DS9, he was one of the biggest pussies in the Klingon kingdom (I believe that he was 1/4 human and mostly raised by Worf's human family). Still, he was mostly just timid, not effeminate. And he ended up finding his badass Klingon nature during an in-battle ship emergency.
