If it's a blend of these two movies it'll be an incredible movie

Movie looked really...really bad.
Singer's review just confirmed my fears. A garbled, jumbled mess with no tone

Yeah from all the commercials and trailers it doesn't seem to know what it is. It seems to bounce between dark and gritty with humor and fun. I was hoping that would mean a dark comedy, but these reviews so far seems like they missed the mark

Well this isn't good, I bought tickets already for Saturday.. Whelp...Good or Not I'm going to see it. Glad I can drink in the theater.

I mean I doubt it's a painful movie to watch, just not as good as it could be with some serious issues. Sounds like there's still some good moments.

Honestly, Will Smith (this has nothing to do with Oscar politics) just kills any enthusiasm that builds up during the trailers. He's just not a very good actor.

Metacritic has it at 48. Definitely watchable.

Faraci gave it a fresh rating! Haha! Now I've seen it all.

SUICIDE SQUAD is a mess, but pushing against the current of a botched movie are four lead performances that salvage the whole thing.

He's ok in certain roles. This is not one of those roles.

I wonder if him being invited to the JL set had anything to do with it. I mean, that was basically a negative review, but he ends up giving it a fresh rating

You have to at least give DC credit for taking creative risks with their movies. However I get the feeling that their directors have one idea for the type of movie they want to make while the studio has another idea, and the final result is some mish mash that has tonal/pacing issues and doesn't know what it wants to be.

im wondering if this has to do with Geoff Johns being promoted. He has time and time again given fans what they wanted in a very organic and creative way when the comics begin to slide in a bad direction. I feel like SS might be the last of this "lost direction."

What risks have they taken? Hiring Snyder to lead the charge? All they've done is tried to play catch up to Marvel, do what Marvel has done, except make it much more serious. I wouldn't classify those as risks. Marvel is the one who has been taking the risks, not DC.

He sure liked Suckerpunch after he visited that set.
