So we are supposed to believe that it is a completely random tribal buff draw, but all three tribes are exactly equal 4:4 gender?

Both ends, in my opinion. Whoever it was (Savannah maybe) that said they should target Cirie because Jenna was more of a wild card and they know she's a wild card was absolutely right. Now Cirie has a foothold.. she is much more of a threat.

Q is the most memorable player from S45-50 (hell maybe even 41-50), he is extremely entertaining. Like I question how anyone could be confused at why he was brought back.
ETA now if you want to bash Rizzo have at it. I have no idea why he is there.

It wasn't random and they actually swapped 2 players at the last minute.

I do not understand the Q hate at all. I'm an old school Survivor guy, only watched a couple of the new era seasons to prep for 50, and I found Q to be a wonderful character. I thought he was a good player too. Was he erratic? Sure. I loved the way he played, and probably most of us would play the same way. Q is thinking about himself and how to win. His self-awareness is low, but so is Coach's and everyone loves him. If you don't work with or know a "Q"-type person, then I feel sorry for you. He would be the person I would want to work with the most.
The Q, Kyle, Gen, Colby, and Steph alliance was going to boss the game and I was pumped about it. Now, they're in shambles. We'll see if Colby can pull Rizzo to get the votes. I don't think the other two have an actual alliance, but they're going to be at the bottom quickly.
I was excited that Cirie may be the first boot, and yet again, she survives what should've been an obvious vote. I think Devens, Christian, Emily, Joe, etc. feel too comfortable. Jenna was playing hard, but could be an obvious second boot. Why not get out the "most dangerous" player IMMEDIATELY?? Does that prove Cirie is amazing, or just prove that the players feel confident she'll be out soon? Time will tell.
The Coach/Ozzy rivalry continuing is just the funniest thing. Coach being Coach is so wonderful, and Ozzy trying to be someone else is just as good. They're both going to play the same way and only one of them will get that redemptive arc. Coach does have the adoration of basically everyone out there on his side, and people know what to expect from him. He'll go far.
That was a great first episode, very close to HvV for one of the best in the show's history. I really liked the way many alliances were taking shape and the way they were talking about the game. This should be a great season!

The male cast they mostly nailed.. Glad Chrissy and Christian are back.
Mike White is a weird one.. he's hugely successful and doesn't need this, but he also casts Survivor people on White Lotus so I see what production is thinking.
I think Emily is pretty well liked for changing her game and having enough self awareness to realize how people saw her and even changing a lot of her behaviors. Tiffany? IDK.
I would be happy to never see Cirie again. I also hated Aubrey before and I still hate her. I just know that IRL she would rub me the wrong way. Liking Christian a lot.
I don't really have a lot of feelings for Coach or Ozzy, but it will interesting to see how their stories play out. Jenna was so stupid. Why would anyone want to be the first to throw out a name in this season?

Same.. I don't know why she's so revered. She had a good first season but lost to Michelle despite being a better strategic player because her social game sucked. Then she didn’t make it far the last two times she came back.

Overall I like most of the cast. Cirie is the worst - was Rupert too busy to play? She’s a disadvantage in challenges and then causes drama at camp because someone dares to utter her lazy name.
Good to see Joe again. Dee has a new camp outfit but Savannah brought the leopard prints back!
I wonder what the producers were thinking when the whole Billie Eilish controversy blew up, knowing they were using her name in the first episode? Oops.
