Grasso was my first guess because he’s set up as a foil to Tom. Their first convo in the car showed this.
I think we all figured it was Grasso but hoped that he was just a red herring. It was a bit on the nose, but with the way the show has been written it worked seamlessly.
As said in the after show, the actors for Jason and Grasso (with writers) came up with the notion that they're childhood friends. Could make for an interesting reaction when the shootout happens.
I also tend to agree Snickerdoodle will either be the one to shoot him or will be there when it happens. I tend to lean towards Aleah is the one that ends up having to take the shot (given they highlighted her being a sharpshooter) and she does it so Snickerdoodle doesn't have to maybe. This could go a lot of different ways.

Robbie's going to die, but if Jason and Frank don't die I'm going to riot.
Some thoughts/predictions:
- Robbie is definitely going to die (and I'm gonna cry). But I think he does it saving Tom or some of the FBI folks. I could also see Tom taking down Jason after Robbie told him it was Jason that killed all these folks, maybe after he shoots Robbie. Again, so many potential things can happen here.
- Maeve's going to end up being the one to have to take care of Robbie's kids. Which is tragic but I'm guessing she lives now that she ended up going to the FBI (rightfully so).
- After Robbie's conversation with Tom in the car, I'm guessing we get a scene where Tom is there with Robbie when he dies.
Ugh, this show is going to break my heart.

Perry killing Jason’s wife is probably going to put those two against each other as well.

With Ruffalo in it, the man who made the incredible hulk into a giant pussy, i have my doubts it will be anything other than propaganda.

I'm hoping Maeve isn't charged she did the right thing. You really feel bad for her. She didn't want to hurt her uncle and she loves his kids. I hope she ends up ok.
Is the next episode the last? Feels like it's about to wrap up.

Well, we have two episodes left and it's been far from that.
But honestly, if you're criticizing without watching, there's not much to discuss with you I guess.

I just ignore those comments. This thread has been one of the better ones everyone stays on subject people actually watch the show the discussion is good. No sense in letting political posters derail it.

I just thought of something. . . isn't Jayson supposed to eat it? The higher ups in the Dark Hearts said it was supposed to go down on Friday.
Posted on 10/6/25 at 12:39 pm to KajunLass
Your right. Jayson is out. And his buddy killed his wife. Crazy shite about to go down.

So you haven't watched any of the first 5 episodes, yet feel confident enough to make this statement?
I honestly don't think there's even been 5 seconds worth of propaganda in this.

Tom pelphfrey plays the “ guy who’s life is crashing down and he probably gonna die very soon” like nobody else
The same role in ozark. He’s so good . I think Robbie saves Tom’s life by firing at the gang members as they come behind tom
His performance in Ozark was the best of anyone in the series. Honestly one of the best performances I've seen in any show.
I said it in the Ozark thread when it was running, but its surprising that he hasn't gotten a star role in a big movie yet. Maybe he just wants to stick to tv/series acting, which is fine because he has a really great thing going with that.

I looked him up last night.. he’s married to Kaley Cuoco… lucky bastard.. she’s hot and got so much big bang theory money/residuals

She is engaged to that dude not married. She is 0 for 2 thus far.

Another great episode. I thought next Sunday was the finale so I’m pleasantly surprised knowing we have two more. Of course that leaves more time for bad shite to happen to the characters.. Observations & curiosities- I think Robbie’s interaction w/ Freddie was down played and there is something more there.. Tom asking for his last phone calls and said he wanted to call his son. Only thing that can mean is he forgives Ethan?
And for my J + K = S moment… Robbie ends up in prison mentoring Ethan.

What’s funny is I can remember when he won awards for being on Guiding Light (my Mom loved some soaps). He was a great actor even then.

Just watched all 5 episodes over the last couple nights. It's really good. As great an actor as Tom is and he's really good at the struggling guy role like he was in Ozarks, I don't feel for the character Robbie. Yes, he loves his kids but he's a fricking moron who put them all in danger. Maeve and his kids could be killed in a real life situation like this. And I get how he's destroyed over his brother's death, but he's not exactly a good guy. I do get the feeling there will be some redemption arc where he saves character Tom.

This show is incredible and it’s a shame more people aren’t talking about it. Every time I brought it up in the last month to family and friends, they’ve never heard of it.
The Ringer has a good recap pod on this show. Here’s yesterdays episode

It’s crazy they never came back to the fact that the boss had that agent come in her office and say he had some important news about the background of the task force.
Why did the chick jump in the water? Great strategy
Also, anyone else worried that Tom called his family to say he’s ok and everything’s fine. That always seems to come back to haunt them.

This show is so good. The scene with Robbie and Tom in the car was excellent. And as a person who notices woke crap all over the place there is absolutely none in this show. It’s just really well done.

I'm kind of hoping Matt Reeves reaches out to him. I've always thought he'd make a great Harvey Dent
