I hated season five, and wrote off the show.

I quit early in season 5, and I love the book series. I’m currently in the latest book and it is excellent. Should I give the show another chance?

Naomi and her entire family are still awful and killing the show , so , if you quit because of that then don’t come back

Yeah I basically hate Naomi’s character. I am not a fan of the actor playing Holden either. His face always seems have this “in deep thought” look. It annoys me.
I like some belters. The ghost guy and drummer.

I think he always looks like he’s in some kind of pain. Like he’s been battling a bad case of hemorrhoids for the past 5 years or so.

I know he’s too old but reading the books I will never not picture Nathan Fillion as Holden.

I don't know the story from the books, but with the show- Holden had SO much more chemistry with Monica (the reporter) than with Naomi. If they could have built on that going forward, it would have been more enjoyable. I wouldn't mind Naomi getting tossed back out an airlock at this point. Definitely not a fan of the actress, but the character too- why is she being a count to Peaches at this point? They've been on the ship together for half a year, Peaches is doing her job to help, and Naomi has more blood on her hands now. Peaches was connected to the protomolecule, Naomi is connected to Marco; and Marco is the one that devastated Earth.
I hope Amos is able to pick up the slack, losing Alex has wiped out a large part of the appeal to this show. I know the story behind it, but the fact remains Alex was maybe the most likeable character they had. Holden is generic, Amos has potential, the rest are VERY limited.

The Amos storyline on Earth was really the only one I found interesting in season 5.
I’m a fan of Drummer as well, so I was glad to see her featured early on. And it seems like Bobbie is about to get back in on the action.
I haven’t read the books either but from what people have said, it sounds like this could be a fun season. Fingers crossed.

Honestly, they could make a spin off with just Amos,Bobby,Avasarala and Drummer flying around getting into shite. I'd watch 15 seasons of that.

Didn't they tone down Avasarala from the books? I thought her language in the books was much, MUCH worse.

He’s gone? Yet another reason not to try watching again. He was one of the better castings along with Amos, Bobbie, Chrisjen, and of course Miller.

So weird, that I had to randomly see a REVIEW for Ep.1 on YouTube posted to realize that it was back.
Absolutely the best Sci-Fi series out there, for seasons 1-4. Season 5 was mostly garbage. And then the #MeToo nonsense...
So far, Ep 1 was pretty darn good. Is it only gonna be 6 episodes?? I feel like we need 10-12, at least, if this is gonna be the series finale.

Yeah, crazy how much the last few episodes of season 5 killed the show. Naomi and her son have made this a 6/10. Show. Sad because expanse was amazing until mid season 5.

frick I hate Filip. I want him airlocked badly. Same for Naomi. She was fine before the son plot line. It’s been downhill sense.
