Didn't Berry's older self motion for him not to intervene. I thought that was a major aspect of him not intervening but he didn't really mention that when he got back. Also, I love that time travel will play a major role in the show. Just a guy running fast would get old after a while but time travel opens this thing up.

I mean, he didn't have much time to mention it

I think he already knew that he shouldn't do it and future Barry waving him off just let him know it was the right thing to do.

On a more serious not, did anyone else catch when Eobard was disintegrating, him saying "Help me Cisco.."? Is there a deeper meaning behind that? i.e Cisco's powers/future?
he simply was asking Sisco to explain what was happening to Thawne after Eddie killed himself.

How did older Barry know that he was there to save his mom? I thought older Barry was from the original timeline where his mom lived.

What other reason would he be there?

I guess. But did older Barry know RF would kill his mom? It just seems like older Barry would want him to save his mom and keep the timeline as close to the original as possible.

So Thawne wanted Cisco to explain what was happening to Thawne?

Have you never seen that done before? They do it on this show all the time.

Person A knows something but instead of explaining it his/herself ask person B to do it for him/her.

So you think Eobard Thawne, while he was being erased from history, says "Help me Cisco..." , because he thinks Cisco could explain it better?

It has nothing to do with explaining it better. It's just something writers of any medium put into their work.

Barry asks Wells what's happening. Wells directly asks Sisco to help him out. Sisco directly explains to Barry what's happening.

If I was a writer and I was asked conceptually why I put it in there, I would say because it makes sense that Thawne, while being erased from existence, probably is a little freaked out and has no desire to go into an explanation. Plus it sounds less lame coming from Sisco as opposed to the person being erased.

Eta: when wells asks Sisco to help him it's not "help me explain it" it's "help me not have to explain it"

This just doesn't make any sense to me.

But, then again neither did a PHD holder asking this:

Also, it's Cisco not Sisco

It's just something they do all the time.

My best friends name is Sisco and autocorrects so I got tired of correcting it.

They could've been talking about a gravitational singularity (black hole) or a mechanical singularity (a point where they could no longer predict what would happen with the collider).

I thought that her PHD was in one of the biologies.

Barry from the future knew what Barry from the present was there for because is his future self. Barry from the future is Barry from the present, just in the future.

You seriously can't dwell on time travel discrepancies. I guess the writers deemed that since Thawne changed the timeline, the Barry from the future was from the new timeline's future. But you can't dwell too hard. Traveling back in time causes too many paradoxes, that is why it is not possible in real life, and is always a headache trying to figure out on tv/in the movies.

Did we discuss how Thawne was able to keep his connection to the speed force, albeit limited, when he completely retrofitted his DNA to that of Wells? If his cells were completely altered he should have lost everything specific to his genes.

While its not as difficult as trying to figure out the time travel paradoxes. It still seems like a major whiff by the writing team..

But was it confirmed he "completely" retrofitted? That seems to be an easy plot hole to ignore.

Movie/TV board should have a time travel disclaimer that can be easily input into any and all threads that deal with the issue of time travel.
